It's going to be a close election, no doubt about it. I just really, really hope Trump doesn't prevail.

The question is why do so few USA citizens support Biden, given the alternative ? The USA economy does not seem to bad (compared to NZ), is it the support of Israel actions in Palestine?

And Biden seems to have made less blunders in speech and action recently, or what ?

None so blind as those who will not see.

Trump is back – and raging! The Republicans will never be able to credibly run the country, because they want to protect the worst President in the history of the deep-fried States!

No, that's not an error, it's a secret watermark to indicate to the faithful that the post is a genuine Trump creation.

The thing that puzzles me, though, is why would the Fed  be trying to protect Trump?

https://edition.cnn.com/2024/04/13/politics/trump-dave-mccormick-senate-pennsylvania/index.html

Pretty stock-standard, non-event story, but of course the orange buffoon goes off on a tangent and makes it all about himself and his court case, instead of the bloke he was meant to be endorsing:

“It’s a joke all over the world, but when I walk into that courtroom, I know I will have the love of 200 million Americans behind me,” Trump said. “And I will be fighting for the freedom of 325 million Americans.”

The joke part is accurate, I'm laughing at him and his bluster constantly!

Re the numbers, I'd love to know where in the hell he gets that figure from, when only 74 million voted for him in 2020? Is he counting the "millions" [of] illegal immigrants that (apparently) made the election go Biden's way too? 🙄

I think if Trump were to lose one just of his cases (even the hush money one) that it would signal to voters that he's not quite the indestructible force they've been lead to believe he is.

That's how a rational person would think. To Trump supporters it's just more proof of the forces arrayed against him, and that they have to support him even more.

I think the only reason Biden's getting any significant votes at all is because his opponent is Trump. If he was running against anyone else you'd get a variant of the corny old "take my wife" joke:

Q: Who would you vote for, Joe Biden or -

A: (interrupting) - the other one!

Admittedly a fair bit of his lack of being able to achieve anything of note has been due to Republican stalling, but even without that he's been a pretty lame duck president, and having him trying to cling onto power for a second term is seriously hurting the Democrat cause by preventing more effective leaders from standing.

It's a non-true statement, but I can't spot any typos there. "worst president in the history of the Untied States"... nope, not seeing it.

Reuters - Trump repeats attack on ex-lawyer on eve of trial despite gag order

April 13 (Reuters) - Donald Trump once again attacked his former lawyer Michael Cohen on Saturday, potentially testing the limits of a gag order that bars him from making public statements about witnesses concerning their testimony in his upcoming criminal trial in New York. ...

Cohen is expected to be a key witness for the prosecution at the trial ...

Justice Juan Merchan, who is overseeing the trial, imposed a gag order on Trump in March at prosecutors' request, blocking him from speaking about witnesses concerning their participation in the case.

From Saturday Night Live, Weekend update

"There was error in the Los Angeles Times obituary for O.J. Simpson in the section about his prison time.

Instead of writing 'OJ walked out of the correctional center', they wrote 'Trump walked out of the correctional center a free man for the first time in nine years.'

It's not a great sign for Trump that even auto correct thinks he belongs in jail."

The "TRUMP 2024 BALLOT DEFENDER PLATINUM LEVEL METAL LIMITED EDITION" is advertised to a "TOP SUPPORTER" who has earned Trump's "PLATINUM RATING."

That Trump's campaign sent it to anyone subscribed to his email list, including journalists, should provide adequate evidence about its exclusiveness.
