Forbes: Will Trump’s Jurors Be Stuck In A Hotel? What To Know About Sequestration—And Why It’s Unlikely.
...
Mitchell Epner, a former federal prosecutor currently at Kudman Trachten Aloe Posner LLP, told Forbes he doubts a jury would be sequestered since prospective jurors were not given a warning in advance.

He noted that the jury could still be sequestered at a later time, such as during deliberation

He bemoaned that possibility, calling it a “deprivation of liberty” and the “functional equivalent of putting the jury in jail.”

Unfortunately there's zero chance he will be called to testify by the defense for that exact reason. I wonder if the prosecution could call him instead?

Trump's team have been trying to serve a subpoena to Stormy Daniels. A documentary about her life was screened on NBC last month. The Trump team is fishing for anything they can get out of the making:

Legal details abound.

What are they looking for? Evidence that a porn star might accept money in exchange for sex? What a shocking revelation that would be.

Fishing for anything to cause any delay in proceedings for any random non-reason as usual.

But oh boy he wants to supposedly. I dont think prosecution would need to do much " so Mr Trump, anything to add"? lol.

Stormy and the "mushroom" figurines back on the Kimmel show was hilarious, she said she will be as honest as possible, so I dont expect the smallest one, but sure enough, that is it.

It does make me wonder now if his Psyche is trying to make up for something.

When is the McDougal money scheduled to be raised?

Fighting words ...

The Washington Post - Opinion - A rotten week for MAGA Republicans’ feeble stunts

by Jennifer Rubin

21 April, 2024  (opening and closing paragraphs only)

MAGA House Republicans would rather do anything but their jobs.

They would rather indulge right-wing media consumers with baseless impeachments, motions to vacate the speaker’s chair (again!), fruitless hearings and parroting Russian propaganda.

None of these activities serves the interests of the voters; none improves U.S. national security.

For these minions of Donald Trump, chaos and paralysis appear to be the goal.

Fortunately for the country, Democrats have figured out how to short-circuit the antics and humiliate Republicans. ...

Democrats have learned to give Republicans the respect they deserve - which, often, is none.

Listening to many news sources that are smarter than me, it's unlikely that Trump will see prison time from the porn star hush money trial.

...if Trump can STFU, and not get thrown in jail for contempt of court. (That's a big "if")

But with every trial, Trump playing solo Russian roulette where previous judges load another bullet in the Trump's revolver.

One-time Trump-hater, now rabid-MAGA-fan Elise Stefanik recently asked Republican voters "are you better off now than you were 4 years ago?"

see: https://sg.news.yahoo.com/rep-elise-stefanik-mocked-asking-193800418.html

Well, this very thorough article takes a look at precisely this question comparing then and now: https://www.publicnotice.co/p/trump-covid-response-revisited?utm_source=profile&utm_medium=reader2

Short answer: no, idiot 🙄

As an aside, I'd bet repo-king "Knight Specialty Insurance Company" that they never met Trump.

Knight's parent company is located in the Cayman Islands, a popular tax haven, which is always shady.

The Guardian: Prosecutors accept modified $175m Trump bond in New York civil fraud case

...
As part of a deal struck during a 20-minute recess, lawyers for former president Trump and Knight Specialty Insurance Company agreed to keep the $175m in a cash account that will gain interest but faces no downside risk. The account so far has grown by more than $700,000.

The bond stops the state from potentially seizing Trump’s assets to satisfy the more than $454m that he owes after losing a court case
