I would suggest anyone who gets their vital medical information from social media is subject to Darwin’s effect.

That's because the radical-left mainstream media has suppressed... something.... something.

The cool thing about conspiracy theories is that it's conspiracies all the way down. No matter how effectively you shoot down the current one, there's another one underneath that, and another one, and another one.

This is a week old, but I thought I'd post it.

Elon Musk mocks "#StayWoke" shirts he found in Twitter's building. See Don Lemon's response

CNN

Elon Musk tweeted a video mocking a Twitter closet full of "#StayWoke" apparel. In a since deleted tweet, Musk called the "hands up, don't shoot" movement "fiction." CNN's Don Lemon lays out the facts behind the social justice movement. #CNN #News

Before Musk's Twitter takeover when conservatives were complaining they were unfairly being banned, the argument from the left was as a private company they can do what they want. I agreed then, and I agree now. It's pretty hypocritical for so many to change the basis of their argument just because the outcome no longer aligns to their politics.

Twitter is a cesspool, and I don't use it. But if it's meant to be a platform to allow people to share their thoughts and opinions then you have to take the bad with the good.

We'll see if it falls over due to the massive staff cuts, just as we'll see if it loses too many subscribers to stay viable, or whether any of the advertisers it lost come back, etc. It's far too early to draw any conclusions.

I don't think this has been posted. Delete it if I'm wrong

The Guardian: Twitter failed to detect upload of Christchurch mosque terror attack videos

Twitter has removed freshly uploaded footage of the Christchurch terror attack that was circulating on the platform, but only after the New Zealand government alerted the company, which had failed to recognise the content as harmful.

...A spokesperson for the prime minister said Twitter’s automated reporting function didn’t pick up the content as harmful.

...Ardern launched the Christchurch Call after the attack, asking social media companies to counter online extremism and misinformation. Twitter founder Jack Dorsey had supported the initiative.

Speaking to media on Monday afternoon, Ardern said that while “time will tell” over Twitter’s commitment to removing harmful content, the company had advised the government it had not changed its view over its membership to the Christchurch Call community.

...Writing for the Conversation, Markus Luczak-Roesch, an Associate Professor in Information Systems at Victoria University of Wellington, said Musk’s takeover has been disruptive to the Christchurch Call, with the entire Twitter team the government was planning to work with gone after lay-offs.

A little off subject, about a fellow lizardman.

Who is REALLY behind the Monopoly Man? 🧐 #FakeZuck

Monopoly Man

"To all my friends in Congress — thank you! Once again, you've kept up your side of the bargain by holding up new laws that would hold Big Tech companies like mine accountable."

The New York Times - Hate Speech’s Rise on Twitter Is Unprecedented, Researchers Find

02 Dec 2022

Before Elon Musk bought Twitter, slurs against Black Americans showed up on the social media service an average of 1,282 times a day. After the billionaire became Twitter’s owner, they jumped to 3,876 times a day.

Slurs against gay men appeared on Twitter 2,506 times a day on average before Mr. Musk took over. Afterward, their use rose to 3,964 times a day.

And antisemitic posts referring to Jews or Judaism soared more than 61 percent in the two weeks after Mr. Musk acquired the site. ...

These changes are alarming, researchers said, adding that they had never seen such a sharp increase in hate speech, problematic content and formerly banned accounts in such a short period on a mainstream social media platform.

Elon Musk sent up the Bat Signal to every kind of racist, misogynist and homophobe that Twitter was open for business,” said Imran Ahmed, the chief executive of the Center for Countering Digital Hate. “They have reacted accordingly.”

Seeing those numbers going up obviously isn’t a good thing, but let’s also put it in perspective against the fact that there are 500,000,000 tweets posted per day. That means less than one tweet in every 63,000 contains a slur against Black Americans or gay men.

MikeB4: I can’t say I like or hate as I have never met him. However, he is a billionaire and he does what billionaires must do and that is accumulate another billion. The billion already accumulated is never enough. I can’t say I hate him but his actions are obscene. Personal opinion.

Yes. And with his billions he has

disrupted the car industry,

privatised space exploration,

invigorated home energy solutions,

reimagined mass rapid transit.

Which one of those actions do you consider obscene? Or is it solely because he speaks his mind and wants others to have the right to do the same (hate speech excepted)? Or that he voted Democrat last time but has stated he would vote Republican the next time? (The OP still hasn’t addressed why he included this).

Basically, he is able to put into practice what ordinary day-dreamers with no money wish for. A kind of “If I was King, I would do this…….” attitude.

As opposed to other, equally socially awkward oligarchs, who use their wealth solely to accumulate more and to exert influence.

Not a fan, but not particularly a hater either.

he has done none of those things.

They make 1% of the cars, so their sharemarket is grossly over priced

Space-x is also grossly overhyped.

Home energy solutions, well the batteries are made by Panasonic and their roof tiles were faked.

Hyperloop was thought of 100 years ago and discard for good reasons.

He makes Elizabeth Holmes look like an amateur .

Go look at Thunderfoots videos, he debunks everything Musk has done based on science and engineering
