So what could happen if a new election was forced?
Would NZ First voters pull out and vote National? Or would they stand fast? If Luxon and Nicola were "solid and stable" the former would apply. But it seems the up to $250 a fortnight worked, but it may not work again. For obvious reasons.
I would hope that Winston would get absolutely nowhere near Parliament in the result of a second election. Moreso that nutjobs like Liz Gunn don't, either.
Luxon got it wrong... Really? https://www.newshub.co.nz/home/politics/2023/12/smokefree-laws-prime-minister-christopher-luxon-admits-blunder-on-tobacco-store-numbers.html

That will (probably) somehow be Labour's fault too.

When he cannot deliver his flagship policy, it will be. Labours flagship policy, stupid as it was, and a vote catcher was Kiwibuild. Tax cuts are the same, that policy won't be delivered.
Stuff: the Ford Ranger is all but confirmed to be New Zealand’s most popular new vehicle for the ninth year in a row.

When does the 100 day countdown timer start?
I thought it did the minute the final results were known...although it's less than 100 days to Christmas?
He may not have been intentionally trying to mislead, but the fact that both him and Bishop did it isn't a good look. Hopefully it was just a one-off?

Let me guess, he did his own research and asked Winston ?

He certainly strikes me more as the type of manager who doesn't understand what he's managing, but rather delegates the understanding to the peasants. I'm here to lead, not to read, as they say. He certainly wasn't widely adored amongst Air New Zealand engineering staff - you know, the people who understand how airplanes don't fall out of the sky.

I can definitely vouch for this.

Who in turn, probably asked Liz Gunn 😆

I would have said Sue Grey, you know reputable people...lawyers...her and Winston...
