Re-reading it:

Americans [...] won the wild west, ended slavery, rescued millions from tyranny, lifted billions from poverty, harnessed electricity, split the atom, launched mankind into the heavens

a re-edit is in order:

won the wild west -> nearly exterminated the native Americans who were there first.

ended slavery -> years after other countries did.

rescued millions from tyranny -> enabled and even installed dictators who subjected millions to tyranny.

lifted billions from poverty -> No idea what he's on about here.

harnessed electricity -> Lots of countries, depending on what you mean by "harnessed electricity".

split the atom -> That was New Zealand.

launched mankind into the heavens -> That was the Russians.

put the universe of human knowledge into the palm of the human hand -> Again, not sure, perhaps Japan and the Netherlands (Sony and Philips, via the CD).

kingdragonfly: President Trump Takes The Oath, Skips The Bible | Manifest Destiny In Space | A New Golden Age

When the ceremony was going to be outside he was going to put his hand on the Bible but when they moved it inside the fire

Were they worried that one or both of the two would burst into flames on contact?

Trump annexing New Zealand would solve Peter Thiel's planning permission problem.
We have a very valuable Billionaire hideaway if the worst happens, especially with vacant possession.

Trumps Pastor , after anointing the chosen one,
rushes to promote his favorite meme coin (not Trump one).
He is almost out of breath, trying to get his pitch in before his fame fades.

We are 450 million citizens in the EU, the USA has 330 million.

The answer to "America first" must now be: "Europe united."

I request and expect from the EU to manage to form a credible, humane counterweight to the USA in the world over the next four years. I mean that in a positive, constructive, not destructive sense.

Maybe Burger King could do the world a favour, and merge the Triple Whopper with Cheese with additional toppings like mayo, extra cheese, and bacon and call it the "Trump burger", and supply him with a free dozen every day, every where he goes.

For Robert Kennedy, maybe a supply of undercooked bear meat burger, no artificial colours, with extra brain worms.

kingdragonfly: Trump Supporters SEETHE After Getting SCAMMED by His Meme Coin: He “F***ed Us”

This reminds me of a meme I saw (which I can't find now) from a disabled veteran who voted for him (but before he became president), seething that Trump was going to remove Biden's price cap on insulin and other medications.

I feel sorry for the guy, but really...what did you expect? He only cares about 1 person, mate, and it ain't you.

Here's another group of Trump supporters that were screwed over:

As head chef of the White House, I would cook the right culinary specialities for the servants and let the boss and his guests eat this stuff. 😁

As head chef of the White House, I'd follow Lemmy's instructions on what to eat.  There were plenty of ingredients present earlier on.

Lemmy wouldn't even notice because he's not familiar with the ingredients I use. 😊

And an analysis on his pardoning of the January 6 thugs: https://edition.cnn.com/2025/01/21/politics/donald-trump-golden-age-analysis/index.html

In a gesture that was shocking in its magnitude and that instantly raised questions about the equal application of the law, Trump offered blanket pardons to approximately 1,500 January 6 rioters. Hours after swearing to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, he showed no distinction between those guilty of beating up police officers and others who entered the US Capitol but were not convicted of violent offenses. His commutations extended to some of the country’s most high-profile extremists including Proud Boys and Oath Keepers hardliners.

Trump’s stunning move showed that presidents who win office after assaults on democracy can defy justice themselves and then absolve their supporters. It legitimized the use of violence as a tool of political expression, weakening American democracy and suggesting that those who use commit violent crimes in the 47th president’s name might get away with it.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called Trump’s “actions an outrageous insult to our justice system and the heroes who suffered physical scars and emotional trauma as they protected the Capitol, the Congress and the Constitution.”

Honestly if I was one of the police that was defending the Capitol on January 6 and put my life on the line for it, I'd feel betrayed (and absolutely ropeable) as well after him doing this.

The NY Times - 18 States Sue to Stop Trump’s Birthright Citizenship Order

21 Jan 2025

Attorneys general from 18 states sued President Trump on Tuesday to block an executive order that refuses to recognize the U.S.-born children of unauthorized immigrants as citizens, the opening salvo in what promises to be a long legal battle over the Trump administration’s immigration policies.

The lawsuit to block the president’s executive order is the first salvo in what is likely to be a long-running legal fight over immigration policy.

And to the extent that the Americans did it ... that was a Nazi (or at least someone who was happy to go along with them because it got him his shiny rockets to play with).
