We are 450 million citizens in the EU, the USA has 330 million.

The answer to "America first" must now be: "Europe united."

I request and expect from the EU to manage to form a credible, humane counterweight to the USA in the world over the next four years. I mean that in a positive, constructive, not destructive sense.

"MEGA"..Make Europe Great Again.... has a ring to it.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called Trump’s “actions an outrageous insult to our justice system ..."

No, Nancy, the outrageous insult was the fact that he wasn't already in jail before being nominated as the 2024 Republican candidate. This is just the natural consequences.

neb: As head chef of the White House, I'd follow Lemmy's instructions on what to eat.  There were plenty of ingredients present earlier on.

Many believe Trump and staff take drugs a plenty.

Dr. Ronny Jackson, who served as the White House physician during the Trump administration, earned the nickname "the candy man" for allegedly distributing prescription drugs without proper medical examinations.

So hopefully Trump will rehire him.

Lemmy Kilmister (Motörhead frontman) was well-known as a hard-drinker, who used to eat trash for 50 years without killing himself, dying at age 70 from a heart attack.

If I was on Trump's staff, I'd become a regular at the "the candy man" and a hard drinker myself.

Ahhh...the Coronation...the symbolism was all there.

To witness the 2nd coming of the lord of lies (who could not put his hand on the bible) we had

The 4 horsemen of the Apocalypse (Google, Amazon, Meta, X)

A snake that's popped its head up again (TickTok)

and the Apple.... with the bite taken out of it....

Then releasing of the hounds of chaos (insurrectionists)

And all hell is about to break loose.

The BBC have listed all of the Executive Orders in order of subject (i.e. Immigration, Climate etc)

It's an interesting read....if this is what he deemed the most necessary things to do on day one, he clearly isn't working in the best interests of Middle America.

Nothing about lowering grocery prices then? But renaming the Gulf of Mexico or a mountain? Absolute, top-shelf, grade A priority 🙄

Who actually owns the Gulf in question? Is this simply going to be a case of maga America calling it one name, and the rest of America and the world carrying on as they are?

Most of it would be international waters, I guess? Yeah, looks like it.

Pretty much how Korea insists that the Sea of Japan is actually the 'East Sea.' No matter how much they insist, no one has changed their maps.

Agree

I can see an ease away from the US as and where possible. Subtlely done. Simplistically, embrace your friends more

I see he has signed an order to exit the Paris Accord, no surprise there

Another order to leave WHO, forget the actual wording but it want exit or leave, more like make plans. I see that as a threat to build up his bargaining chips, as he wishes to force WHO to bend over for the US

The Gulf of America reminds me of "American Fries" versus "French fries."

Just like everything to do with Trump, true facts sound like parody.

I'm not making this up. Some American restaurants rebrand "home fires" as "American Fries": the larger, irregularly cut potato pieces, containing more fried fat.

Much like Americans

It's been the Gulf of Mexico since before the United States existed.  Even when the US came into being, most of what surrounded it was still Mexico (or at least Spanish territory), and a little bit was French for awhile.

Is this in any way related to that stupid "freedom fries" thing that happened after September 11?
