Not sure what happened there as I thought i was copying Trumps speech. The link I posted was CNN's response. Oh well, in short Trump will arrange levelling Gaza and making it Riviera. Who will live there? Everyone. Where will Palestians go? Not answered, but he did say they can live there

He has a fairly low-ish approval rate now (mostly high among Republicans, obviously) but sooner or later he'll really screw something up that impacts everybody that won't be approved of by the majority, then his low numbers will start to plummet even lower. He doesn't care about anyone outside of his base, and even that's a bit of a stretch sometimes.

I don't think his handling of the crisis in Gaza is winning him favour with anyone (outside of a very small group) either:

People were rightly agog and aghast at this [Trump's Gaza resettlement] idea, which combined trademark Trumpian ignorance and inability to see anything but real-estate deals with a casual suggestion of ethnic cleansing. In this case, it was sprinkled with some useless neo-imperialism from the guy who decried nation-building in 2016. He did not seem to consider whether the cost of nation-building in the world's most volatile region would count against DOGE’s efforts to reduce the budget.

Gaza has been through enough. The last thing it needs is Trump taking it over—and the inevitable bankruptcy that would follow.
