The Washington Post - Opinion  08 Feb 2025

So, here’s a shocker: It turns out that, if you elect a felon as president of the United States, he will continue to break laws once he’s in office. ...

A shocker indeed. Just as well the US has a Supreme Court to protect citizens from abuses of power 😱

And the tit-for-tat pettiness continues: Trump says he’s revoking Biden’s security clearance, ending intelligence briefings in payback move

If I was Joe Biden I would give Trump 🖕

Why would he care? He is retired. It is not like The Whitehouse would want him to be a special ambassador or special envoy, because they are now the experts on ALL things and everything.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

PS: To my own post - Joe withdraw Trump's clearance because the whole world knows he can not keep his boastful egotistical mouth shut or his sticky fingers off Top Secret Eye's Only documents.

https://edition.cnn.com/2025/02/07/media/time-magazine-elon-musk-cover-trump/index.html

In a provocative move that could be aimed at stoking President Donald Trump’s ire, Time magazine’s latest print cover features Elon Musk behind the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office.

I bet the orange buffoon will be absolutely livid about this one 😀 cue the angry tweets about "Time Magazine is failing" and "Time Magazine sucks" in 3...2...1...

So let's summarize progress in US politics

2009 - Obama

2017 - Trump reverses everything Obama does

2021 - Biden reverses of the reversals of everything Obama did

2025 - Trump reverses the reverses of the reversals of everything Obama did

2029 - Trump accidently dies in AirForce One autopilot accident. Grok AI used by all US government transfers all US assets into a new Elon Musk memecoins and names Elon US emperor.

2032 - asteroid hits Earth. Grok and DeepSeek mistakes it for a nuclear attack. Starts Armageddon. Shortly before first ICBM lands, Republicans feel bittersweet about the end-times.

LOL 😉

Just one thing: My history book has Lord Lardo deceasing in 2025, not 2029. Odd, hmm?

Well, if you pour a little oil on the fire every day, you can certainly sneak one or two of the three exciters through while everyone is still gasping for air and busy with legal examinations.

Off topic the highest marginal income tax rate in the U.S. was 94% in 1944-1945, during World War II. This applied to incomes equivalent to several million dollars today.

After the war, the top rate remained very high, at 91% from 1951 to 1963. These are probably the years most think of from "Make America great again"

In 1967, the highest marginal income tax rate in the U.S. was 70% for taxable income equivalent to about $1.8 million today.

That same year this Disney video explain one billion dollars.

Today the highest tax rate is is 37%.

The NY Times - Judge Halts Access to Treasury Payment Systems by Elon Musk’s Team

breaking

A federal judge early Saturday temporarily restricted access by Elon Musk’s government efficiency program to the Treasury Department’s payment and data systems, saying there was a risk of “irreparable harm.”

The order came in response to a lawsuit filed by 19 attorneys general accusing the president of failing to faithfully execute the nation’s laws when he let DOGE comb through federal computer systems.

The Trump administration’s new policy of allowing political appointees and “special government employees” access to these systems, which contain highly sensitive information such as bank details, heightens the risk of leaks and of the systems becoming more vulnerable than before to hacking, U.S. District Judge Paul A. Engelmayer said in an emergency order.

Judge Engelmayer ordered any such official who was granted access to the systems since Jan. 20 to “destroy any and all copies of material downloaded from the Treasury Department’s records and systems.” He also restricted the government from granting access to these categories of officials.

The NY Times - Opinion

08 Feb 2025

Presidents Trump and Musk have merged their cult followings, attention addictions, conspiratorial mind-sets, disinformation artistry, disdain for the Constitution, talent for apocalyptic marketing and jumping-from-thing-to-thing styles.

With a pitiless and mindless velocity, they are running roughshod over the government - and the globe.

Queasy D.C. denizens are waiting anxiously to see if judges can save the country from the scofflaws* running it.

The two unchecked and unbalanced billionaires are entwined in a heady and earth-shattering relationship. ...

Trump cares about being popular and Musk doesn’t. So their relationship will probably remain strong until Elon cuts so many benefits from the Trump faithful that they tell Trump they no longer love him.
