Stuff - https://www.stuff.co.nz/world-news/360589152/trump-wants-know-if-theres-gold-fort-knox-there

21 Feb 2025

Musk, the world's richest man, who was travelling with the Republican president aboard Air Force One, has spent days posting about this issue.

“Who is confirming that gold wasn’t stolen from Fort Knox?” he wrote Monday. “Maybe it’s there, maybe it’s not.”

Gawd, he's really reaching back into the past for the conspiracy theories now, that one's from the early 1970s.

Possibly, but useless politicians would be better off on the ship for now. 😁

A couple of this week's political cartoons:

Yet another of the orange buffoon's big lies (ie, Ukraine started the war, not Russia 🙄):

How long until he moves on from Putin and starts cuddling up to Kim?

https://www.thebulwark.com/i/157617305/a-new-tea-party

Last night, on February 20, 2025, Republican Congressman Rich McCormick, re-elected with 65 percent of the vote three months ago, was startled to be greeted with boos and catcalls at a packed town hall meeting in Roswell, Georgia, by constituents objecting to the government-decimating policies of the Trump-Musk administration.

One questioner, citing recent cuts at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in nearby Atlanta, asked, “Why is the supposedly conservative party taking such a radical and extremist and sloppy approach to this?”

McCormick’s unsatisfactory answer? “A lot of the work they do is duplicitous with AI.”

At another point, McCormick claimed that agencies were making their own decisions on personnel cuts. Members of the audience shouted “No!” with one person shouting, “Elon Musk is deciding.”

Could the tide of public opinion be (slowly) turning against the orange buffoon and his minions? Of note, the above took place in a heavily Republican district, that guy won with 65% of the vote. And if this is happening already, well...

Elon Musk parody:

Left leaning pedophiles are claiming I was holding a chainsaw at CPAC. That’s just what they want you to think. In reality, it’s a precision-engineered, high-oscillation, atmospheric displacement device - essentially a balloon toy.

That’s an unfortunate misinterpretation by retards of its true function. Kids at birthday parties will be wielding these marvels of modern balloon animals.

If we really pushed the boundaries of innovation here, we are looking at the next evolution of birthday entertainment.

But sure, call it a "chainsaw" if it helps you libtards sleep at night.

People assume it represents me destroying democracy. Nonsense. If things are not failing, you are not innovating enough. Move fast. Speed is really important.

Trudeau taunts Trump after Canada beats US in hockey final: Politico
...
“You can’t take our country — and you can’t take our game,” Trudeau posted to X late Thursday night, a retort to mudslinging from Trump, who has repeatedly referred to Canada as America’s the 51st state and gave team USA a pregame pep talk on Thursday.

While players and fans alike outside the stadium were hesitant to discuss the geopolitical tensions between the neighboring countries, to Trump and Trudeau the game clearly carried meaning beyond the ice.

“I’ll be calling our GREAT American Hockey Team this morning to spur them on towards victory tonight against Canada, which with FAR LOWER TAXES AND MUCH STRONGER SECURITY, will someday, maybe soon, become our cherished, and very important, Fifty First State,” Trump posted to social media on Thursday.
...
Beyond talk of annexing Canada, the president has also promised to inflict the longtime ally with 25 percent across-the-board tariffs, which are on hold for a month after Canada promised to address Trump’s concerns about fentanyl flowing into the U.S. from the north. The tariffs would be particularly damaging to Quebec, which provides 60 percent of America’s aluminum

51st State? Nah, The USA Just Got a New President...in Moscow

Trump hates postal votes, so part of his you will never need to vote again plan ?
His appointee did the destruction of postal sorting machines thing to slow down the process.
Not enough to ensure that Trump Kingdom lasts 1000 years ?

Trump Says He May Take Control Of The U.S. Postal Service. Here's What To Know.
The U.S. Postal Service has operated as an independent entity since 1970.
https://www.huffpost.com/entry/us-postal-service-trump-control_n_67b90e43e4b075fafcec368b

Looks like they need things nailed down for midterms in 2 years, so any House opposition can't arise.
Midterms are dogged by even poorer turnout, barely 50% anyways.
If Elon is offering $ for a vote plus everything else, then Americans laziness will seal the deal.

The town hall below was in a very Republican district, in the deep South. Republican Rich McCormick won his district by 30 points.

The bird flu has significantly impacted the US. Over 49 million birds have died in the US, from bald eagles to domestic chickens.

In Georgia alone, 700 wild turkey vultures died suddenly in a single sanctuary. On average, a turkey vulture can travel around 50 KM per day. During migration, they can cover even greater distances, sometimes traveling hundreds of kilometers in a single day.

Georgia is a major player in the poultry industry, producing approximately 1.3 billion broiler chickens annually There have been multiple outbreaks in both backyard and commercial poultry flocks. Last month, 5 case happened in his state, and three separate cases were confirmed in his counties. There's no exact number of chickens culled in Georgia, but may reach 100,000.

The situation has been exacerbated by federal budget cuts and layoffs at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in his state, which have affected the nation's bird-flu response team.

So with that introduction, here's the Trump / Musk defender.

Question about Trump and Musk tyrany.

"I'm not going to give you my best [Southern rooster cartoon character] Foghorn LegHorn response to that, but what I say, you can when you talk about tyrany, when you talk about Presidential Power, I remember having the same discussion with Republicans when Biden was elected."

"The funny thing is you're sitting here and complaining a lot of you would probably say those January sixthers, who are young, just as loud as you are, who are upset …

hostile audience stops the "January 6th" response cold

"Yelling at me won't get an answer. They [the January 6 insurrectionist] are good people ; they are honourable.

Why is a supposedly conservative party taking such a radical and extremist and sloppy approach to this [bird flu outbreak]?

"The Center for Disease Control have about what 13,000 employees. In the last couple couple years those those probationary people which is about 10% of their employee base, which is about 1,300 people which you're referring to a lot of the work they do is duplicated with AI.

Once again one of the problems we have…

hostile audience stops the "fire the medical professionals and let's use AI" response cold

[Appealing to authority, and appeal to ridicule] "I happen to be a doctor I know a few things okay?"

Congress sets the budget [for the CDC], not the President. You are not shutting that down, and standing up for us?

"A lot of stuff will be litigated in court."

hostile audience stops the attempt the "shrug shoulders" response cold

"You can do it now! Stand up to Elon Musk, and don't bend over for him."

Elon bans everyone for videos of him getting booed

That's the one I posted above 🙂

Elon bans everyone for videos of him getting booed

LOL, how long is he going to do that for? There's only 1 of him but I think his haters far outnumber his fans. There's no way in hell he'll be able to shut down everyone who challenges him/disagrees with him.

https://abcnews.go.com/US/former-proud-boys-leader-enrique-tarrio-arrested-us/story?id=119057808

[Enrique] Tarrio, according to the U.S. Capitol Police, allegedly struck a woman's phone and arm when she allegedly put a phone near his face after a press conference wrapped up on Capitol grounds.

No doubt another one of "the best people" 🙄 How many of these thugs have been re-arrested now? My count is 3 or 4?

Also: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/republicans-confronted-constituents-angry-trump-musk-doge-cuts/

A woman in tears told [Republican Rep. Cliff] Bentz that Congress should take responsibility for the "unsustainable" budgets that have been passed since Mr. Trump's first term "instead of expecting us working-class folks here to pay for your mistakes."

"And then blaming it all the Democrats and expecting the judges to bail us out, when you have plenty of power yourself," she said, noting that she is an independent voter. "I'm all for fiscal responsibility and downsizing the government. We've been through downsizing before and you can do it in a way that is humane and treats people with dignity."

More voters are starting to voice their dissatisfaction with the way Musk is running things. Long may it continue 👍 (although I highly doubt the orange buffoon even remotely cares).
