He keeps banging on about running for a third term. Yes, I know the Constitution doesn't allow it - but when has the orange buffoon ever given two stuffs about following the rule of law?
More to the point, would any Republicans stand up to him and say, "no, you can't do this"? At this stage I feel it's highly doubtful anyone would.
kingdragonfly: Contend warning: very, very rough language.
I think this has the most curses I've ever seen on Youtube. NSFW.
Definitely much worse than George Carlin's routine, "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television,"
Jonathan Pie is a fictional character portrayed by British comedian Tom Walker. Pie is a political correspondent who rants angrily about British, American, and Australian politics, giving his true personal opinions before or after filming a scripted news segment.

kingdragonfly: Trudeau taunts Trump after Canada beats US in hockey final: Politico
...
“You can’t take our country — and you can’t take our game,” Trudeau posted to X late Thursday night, a retort to mudslinging from Trump, who has repeatedly referred to Canada as America’s the 51st state and gave team USA a pregame pep talk on Thursday.
While players and fans alike outside the stadium were hesitant to discuss the geopolitical tensions between the neighboring countries, to Trump and Trudeau the game clearly carried meaning beyond the ice.
“I’ll be calling our GREAT American Hockey Team this morning to spur them on towards victory tonight against Canada, which with FAR LOWER TAXES AND MUCH STRONGER SECURITY, will someday, maybe soon, become our cherished, and very important, Fifty First State,” Trump posted to social media on Thursday.
...
Beyond talk of annexing Canada, the president has also promised to inflict the longtime ally with 25 percent across-the-board tariffs, which are on hold for a month after Canada promised to address Trump’s concerns about fentanyl flowing into the U.S. from the north. The tariffs would be particularly damaging to Quebec, which provides 60 percent of America’s aluminum

51st State? Nah, The USA Just Got a New President...in Moscow
Trudeau should probably play the higher game, not join the trash. But this trash is a new and low form of trash.
Perhaps its a pointer to what I've posted a few times, countries will ease away from the US, as its not a reliable partner. The US is a huge economic partner, so is China, Asia, EU, and others.

Elon bans everyone for videos of him getting booed
LOL, how long is he going to do that for? There's only 1 of him but I think his haters far outnumber his fans. There's no way in hell he'll be able to shut down everyone who challenges him/disagrees with him.
I like your comment "There's only 1 of him"
USA, 300 million people, but there is only one of them, Trump
Russian Federation, there in only one of them, Putin.
So much for being great enough to lead the people, for the people.
Trump's been pissed about Zelensky ever since he tried to force him to dig up dirt on Hunter Biden in 2019 and it all became public. Narcissists have very long, vengeful memories.

The Trump–Ukraine scandal was a political scandal that arose primarily from the discovery of U.S. President Donald Trump's attempts to coerce Ukraine into investigating his political rival Joe Biden and thus potentially damage Biden's campaign for the 2020 Democratic Party presidential nomination. Trump enlisted surrogates in and outside his administration, including personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani and Attorney General William Barr, to pressure Ukraine and other governments to cooperate in supporting and legitimizing the Biden–Ukraine conspiracy theory and other conspiracy theories concerning US politics. Trump blocked payment of a congressionally-mandated $400 million military aid package, in an attempt to obtain quid pro quo cooperation from Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Contacts were established between the White House and government of Ukraine, culminating in a call between Trump and Zelenskyy on July 25, 2019.
Trump released the aid after becoming aware of a whistleblower complaint, before the complaint was known by Congress or the public. The scandal reached public attention in mid-September 2019 due to a whistleblower complaint made in August. The complaint raised concerns about Trump using powers to solicit foreign electoral intervention in the 2020 U.S. presidential election. The White House corroborated allegations raised by the whistleblower. A transcript of the Trump–Zelenskyy call confirmed Trump requested investigations into Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden, as well as a conspiracy theory involving a Democratic National Committee server, while urging Zelenskyy to work with Giuliani and Barr on this.

Yes. And that is due solely to one thing: Trump's ability to lie and lie and lie and lie. He does this so successfully that he has convinced those among the US citizenry who have difficulty thinking for themselves, that everything he says is true. Nothing will change in the US until Trump (and now Musk and Vance) have been, to put it politely, "permanently deprived of influence".

I think a fair few Trump voters - especially the ones who are now losing their jobs thanks (in part) to Elon and co - might be starting to get a bit of buyer's remorse. How's those egg prices doing now, anyway?

This is a good article about understanding Trump.

Basically he is completely ignorant about history and absolutely does not care. Everything is transactional in the present. There are no such things as morals or the law, everything is about what you can get and the law is just a tool to punish your enemies. The one exception is revenge, he maintains grudges and will always look to get back at people he thinks slighted him personally, ten times over.
I see that NATO is effectively dead, Trump cannot be trusted to abide by existing treaties, including those he himself signed during his last term.
Europe needs to group with Canada, not as an enemy of America but as a strong enough bloc to counteract his threats. Individually countries will be picked off by USA as the bully.
Likewise, Trump does not care about his legacy, as he previously said, Why should he care? He would be dead.
