Military parades and now this:

Time: President Donald Trump said he wants to “expand efforts to detain and deport illegal Aliens in America’s largest cities, such as Los Angeles, Chicago, and New York, where Millions upon Millions of Illegal Aliens reside” in a lengthy Sunday night Truth Social post aimed at Democrats. “These, and other such Cities, are the core of the Democrat Power Center, where they use Illegal Aliens to expand their Voter Base, cheat in Elections, and grow the Welfare State,” he added.

kingdragonfly: I think the may have been mentioned already: Trump's latest scam will be a mobile phone, and a MVMO.

According to someone in the comments on this article, it's likely to be a RealMe (so yeah definitely 100% not made in the USA). If you go to the official RealMe AliExpress store you'll find that model is no longer available. However its presumably slightly higher specced brother is worth about $160 NZ. And Trump is selling these for $499 US.

Sometimes I hate myself for not being such a bastard.

The NY Times - Trump called for Iran’s ‘unconditional surrender’

breaking

Fears of a wider war grew after President Trump called yesterday for Iran’s “unconditional surrender” and mentioned the possibility of killing the country’s supreme leader.

Iran has prepared missiles and other equipment for possible strikes on U.S. bases in the Middle East should the U.S. join Israel’s war effort, according to U.S. officials who have reviewed intelligence reports.

Trump wrote on Truth Social that “we know exactly where [Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iran’s supreme leader] is hiding,” but added, “we are not going to take him out (kill!), at least for now.”

He also boasted that “We now have complete and total control of the skies over Iran,” associating himself with Israel’s strikes on Iran even though U.S. forces do not appear to have been involved.

Trump’s immediate decision will be whether to deploy a more than 13,600-kilo bomb that would allow Israel to strike Iran’s deepest nuclear enrichment site.

His public threats against Iran have revived a long-dormant debate among U.S. lawmakers about clawing back Congress’s power to declare war.

Trump is definitely entering his final gangster / mad dictator phase.   😟

Hmm, not sure about the final phase. We might have to wait until he announces plans to marry his horse.

Trump crowned? No faux King way!

The whole cabinet of nutjobs like RFK etc, there is hardly a spec of sanity anywhere in Whitehouse.
MAGA makes sure congress is powerless, will not move unless 'dear leader' wants.

We are lucky that the biggest thngs we have to deal with are things like if we want to buy decent sized ferries with better capability to manage possibly the roughest crossing in the world or not.
If we bother with public transport for the many as Farmers don't directly benefit and care.

MAGA voices spread falsehoods to link Minnesota shooter to Democrats: Axios
Prominent MAGA figures — including the president's son — have amplified false rumors that the Minnesota shooting suspect was a Democrat in an effort to paint their political opponents as violent.

The big picture: In the wake of shootings and other tragedies, social media often becomes fertile ground for misinformation and conspiracies —now fringe theories have found mouthpieces in the mainstream and among elected Republicans.
  • Alleged gunman Vance Boelter held conservative political views and was a "strong supporter" of President Trump, according to those who knew him.

  • A friend told CNN Boelter strongly opposed abortion but never expressed any particular anger with the shooting victims. The friend told CBS Boelter would "be offended if people called him a Democrat."
Driving the news: The conspiracy theory was fueled by Boelter's appointment to a state Workforce Development Board by former Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton and Gov. Tim Walz.
  • Police also allegedly found papers with the anti-Trump protest slogan "No Kings" in Boelter's car, prompting the Minnesota State Patrol to urge residents not to attend the demonstrations out of "an abundance of caution."

  • Just hours after House DFL Leader Melissa Hortman and her husband were killed and state Sen. John Hoffman and his wife were wounded, top MAGA voices used those revelations to inaccurately paint Boelter as a Democrat.

  • According to court filings, Boelter allegedly drew up lists of Minnesota public officials who were "mostly or all Democrats" and their addresses.

  • Despite that, Donald Trump Jr. told NewsNation the suspect "seems to be a leftist" and is "a Democrat."
...
Elon Musk, sharing a post that claimed "the left" was responsible for the Minnesota shootings and a string of other crimes, wrote, "The far left is murderously violent."

During a bill signing ceremony last week, President Trump said House Speaker Mike Johnson
would be remembered as a great speaker,

and then added "I may be wrong. Who knows? Who the hell knows?"

https://newrepublic.com/article/196187/trump-corruption-self-dealing-audacity-rapacity

Shortly after Election Day 2020, son-in-law Jared Kushner—who had supervised the campaign’s digital strategy—told the staffers who had overseen online fundraising that he wanted a new daily financial tracker for the Trump Make America Great Again Committee. Known internally as TMAGAC and pronounced “T-Magic,” this joint committee had directed fundraising proceeds to both the Trump campaign and the Republican National Committee.

When Kushner sent that message, the campaign had just seen three of its best fundraising days, on November 4, 5, and 6, with over $100 million arriving in response to shrill appeals warning that Democrats were “trying to STEAL the election.” Yet that fund never existed, and the money donated to Save America PAC could not be used to contest the 2020 election as advertised. Instead, it could be used for almost anything Trump wished—including payment of his huge legal and criminal defense bills. From the election to the insurrection, Trump and his Republican partners banked a total of $255.4 million, a record-setting haul drawn by online ads and dozens of daily email appeals to fight the nonexistent fraud.

A lengthy and interesting read of the orange buffoon described as a "Grifter-In-Chief" (which he is).

Pew Research Center - U.S. Image Declines in Many Nations Amid Low Confidence in Trump

11 June 2025

U.S. President Donald Trump receives mostly negative ratings in a new Pew Research Center survey of 24 nations.

More than half in 19 of these countries say they lack confidence in Trump’s leadership of world affairs.

Majorities in most countries also express little or no confidence in Trump’s ability to handle specific issues, including immigration, the Russia-Ukraine war, US-China relations, global economic problems, conflicts between Israel and its neighbors, and climate change.

When asked about Trump’s personal characteristics, most describe him as arrogant and dangerous, while relatively few see him as honest.

Fair comment.  😏

The Washington Post - Trump asks whether he’s allowed to appoint himself Fed chairman

breaking

President Donald Trump on Wednesday renewed his attacks on Federal Reserve Chair Jerome H. Powell, calling the central bank leader “stupid” while publicly riffing on whether he could appoint himself as Powell’s replacement.

So we have a stupid person,” Trump said, while expressing frustration that the Fed is unlikely to cut interest rates Wednesday for the fourth consecutive time. “Europe had 10 cuts, and we had none." ...

Powell and the Fed hit pause on rate cuts in January to give the central bank time to gauge the fallout from Trump’s trade, immigration and fiscal policies that continues to cloud the economic outlook.

Hopefully the Orange Egomaniac won't get his wish. He could do a lot of damage if he did.  🙄

If the U.S. Federal Reserve does what Trump wants, lowers the interest rate too aggressively, working people will suffer the most.

Cheap borrowing makes loans easier to get. The excess cash often flows into stocks, real estate, or other investments.

With too much money chasing too few goods it pushes prices up. Working people's salaries doesn’t keep up with rising prices of essentials.

As inflation spikes, a recession follows, leading to layoffs and unemployment.

Working people with modest savings see their money lose purchasing power.

Easy credit leads to over-borrowing, leaving working people vulnerable when interest rates inevitably rise again.

For billionaires, low rates often boost stock and real estate prices, where most billionaire wealth is held. Their wealth is often spread across different currencies and markets, insulating them from localized economic shocks.

King D you have it all wrong!! :-)

Its about likes. Now thats fine on social media, its not right for democratically elected leaders of the major global nation. Its actually about numbers, and THE people, not about a single individual's ego needs, aka likes.

Its a very FFS time these days
