Trump meets Powell - "We are not amused"
Reuters - Trump presses Powell to cut rates during tense visit to Fed
Summary
WASHINGTON, July 24 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump locked horns with Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell during a rare presidential visit to the U.S. central bank on Thursday, criticizing the cost of renovating two historical buildings at its headquarters* and pressing the case for lower interest rates.
Trump, who called Powell a "numbskull" earlier this week for failing to heed the White House's demand for a large reduction in borrowing costs, wrapped up his visit to the Fed's $2.5 billion building project in Washington by saying he did not intend to fire Powell, as he has frequently suggested he would.
The visibly tense interaction at the Fed's massive construction site marked an escalation of White House pressure on the central bank and Trump's efforts to get Powell to "do the right thing" on rates.
It happened less than a week before the central bank's 19 policymakers are due to gather for a two-day rate-setting meeting, where they are widely expected to leave their benchmark interest rate in the 4.25%-4.50% range.
* fair comment: the original renovation estimate was $1.9 billion, then $2.5 billion, now $3.1 billion.

She certainly had a bit to say here re the South Park episode:

The White House was not amused.
"This show hasn't been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention," spokesperson Taylor Rogers said.
"President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country's history - and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump's hot streak."
Aw poor Donnie. I don't get why he thinks he would be special or excluded when the show also takes potshots at Biden, the Clintons, Obama...

Donald Trump‘s White House has responded to Wednesday night’s explosive “South Park” Season 27 premiere, which portrayed the president begging for sex from Satan and featured a [NSFW] Deepfake-assisted PSA where Trump goes fully nude
...
While “South Park” has never shied away from controversy, the Season 27 premiere is notable, as it aired soon after Trey Parker and Matt Stone signed a new five-year USD $1.5 billion deal with Paramount that includes 50 new episodes plus all seasons of the show becoming available to stream on Paramount+ for the first time.

Better than Putin complaining, that would amount to "disappearances" Trump, it amounts to narcissistic lies and diversion.
He's sulking now, anything that costs the government money that he doesn't see a benefit in will (probably) get the chop.
Pathetic 😠
As you can probably imagine, the cartoonists are having a frikken' field day with the Epstein files this week, here's a sample:

and finally, the orange buffoon wishes all the Epstein stuff...that he started...would just go away...but astonishingly, (shock! horror!) it won't :

The NY Times - Trump Flies to Scotland, Leaving Chaos Swirling in Washington
July 25, 2025
President Trump headed to Scotland on Friday for a five-day visit, hoping to leave behind the chaos of Washington and the persistent questions over the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files for what will be a mix of personal business and diplomacy.
Mr. Trump will celebrate the opening of a new 18-hole course at Trump International Golf Links outside of Aberdeen .... He also plans to play at the Trump Turnberry course, which Mr. Trump bought in 2014, on the other side of Scotland. ...
Mr. Trump’s reception in Scotland may be rocky.
The Scots are generally not fans of Mr. Trump, and protests were already planned.
A group called “Stop Trump Scotland” said it was organizing a “festival of resistance” against Mr. Trump during the trip and has called on John Swinney, the first minister of Scotland, to cancel plans to meet with him.
