Trump will never escape the loons in the Republican party, and their belief he's hiding pedophilia in the deep state, quite likely his own pedophilia.

An eternal, futile labor is is "Sisyphean task", meaning a task that is endless and ineffective.

In Greek mythology, King Sisyphus was punished by Zeus in Tartarus, the deepest part of the Underworld where the worst offenders suffer.

The dead King had to eternally push a massive boulder up a hill, only to have it roll back down just before reaching the summit, forcing him to start over endlessly.

In Trump's predicament, the boulder will be named "Epstein" and will have "may every day be another wonderful secret" engraved on it.

The Washington Post - EPA moves to end climate regulation under Clean Air Act

breaking

The Environmental Protection Agency on Tuesday unveiled a proposal to rescind the landmark legal opinion that underpins virtually all of its regulations to curb climate change.

The move would end EPA regulations on greenhouse gases emitted by vehicles from lightweight cars to heavy-duty trucks, while also undercutting rules that limit power plant emissions and control the release of methane by oil and gas companies. ...

Should the Trump administration prevail in court, the rule would severely limit the ability of future presidents to curb fossil fuel emissions.

Trump undid the Obama regulations, and then Biden undid the Trump regulations and redid the Obama regulations, and now Trump is undoing the Biden regulations.

Donald's scorched-earth policy   😟

What was that satirical/sarcastic report/writer that someone used to post in here all the time? They were quite funny but I can't remember who it was πŸ˜• Borowitz(?) maybe?

Yes, Borowitz is probably the guy you're thinking of. It was a sad day for me when he was kicked to the kerb :-((

Today we learned that Eric Trump was the designer of Trump's newest golf course, in Scotland

Real story. Eric Trump said "Nothing was left out. We had an unlimited budget and we exceeded it"

Not be be outdone: 79 year old Trump said "We have the first course which we call the old course and the second course which we call the new course because that's the best way to describe it. Anything else gets too complicated."

Fun fact: Mr. Trump is 5 months older then Biden, and the oldest president sworn in.

The third oldest president was Ronald Reagan, who was 69 when he was sworn in in 1981.

In 1776, someone in the United States average life expectancy was around 38 years old. Only about 30% made it to age 65.

A rendering of the new, 650-person ballroom has been described as "much needed" by the White House

BBC News - White House unveils plans for new $200m ballroom

01 Aug 2025

The White House has announced plans to build a US $200m (£151m) new ballroom, fulfilling an often-repeated desire of US President Donald Trump.

The new ballroom will be built alongside a "modernised" East Wing of the White House, which currently houses the offices of First Lady Melania Trump and other key White House posts.

The money will be donated directly by Trump and other so-far anonymous donors, with work beginning in September, according to Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

It's all a matter of priorities ...  πŸ™ƒ

OMG - another Mar-a-Largo / Palace of Versailles - gordy and extremely tastless!

Actually, on second thoughts, the Palace is way better than the grubby little Mar-a-Largo.

Horrendous. People struggling to put food on the table, and this is the crap he focuses on.

Any chance it could be demolished after he leaves office?
