This government is sooooo good at delivering things, like those new ferries we're riding through all the new tunnels we have.
And isn't the economy doing so well under their care? Just like they said it would be , everything is awesome now.

What a bunch of incompetent people.

An interesting look at how well Luxon's doing compared to other incumbent world leaders (spoiler: the only one with positive numbers is Mark Carney).
I am not sure that it was wise for Luxon to align us with others who align with the USA (i.e. UK).
It's great to be principalled and Iran is a horrible regime but I think we as a country are too small to be other than neutral and silent in regard to the US actions in the Middle East.
Even Australia which is usually "USA lite" in this case stayed silent. Especially with Tankers from "non involved" countries like Japan and India achieving passage through the straits.
But I may be wrong ?

Another poll showing Luxon not doing so flash - but this result would give a hung parliament.
Winston will flip for Deputy Prime Minister, not shared with ACT?
I'm a generally pretty centrist voter and I struggle to genuinely figure out what this government has accomplished that is actually beneficial to the average person. Hospitals are effed, prices on everything are increased and their management of the fuel thing is boggling my mind. Yet they're still polling enough together to form government...
Wait, people don't feel better off, but the PM says people are saying we are better off?
Which is which?
This PM's difficulty in communicating anything is astounding.
Luxon points to Hamilton Saturday night to explain what matters most to Kiwis | Stuff
“I was in Hamilton on the weekend, on Saturday night, and I can tell you people were wanting me to talk about what was happening with Iran and the fuel implications for New Zealand,” he said.
Asked if those people were coming up to him saying they felt better off, he said people didn't talk about polls but instead about what is going on for them.
Asked again if people were telling him they felt better off, he said: “No, many are acknowledging the fact that things have got better with lower inflation, lower interest rates.”

That is such a lie too. My home loan interest rate was 4.69% for four years in 2022. It sure as hell isn't that low now.
So much depends on timing, our mortgage went from low 3% to high 5s when it rolled over a few years ago, then we were then able to get it back to late 4s last year, so not so much as a lie, as many people would have been coming off of high fixed rate mortgages, but the messaging was certainly accentuating the positives (which isn't the exclusive strategy of National)

Still full throttle on the LNG import terminal. But now, of course, we're taking money that was previously allocated to decarbonising industry to move forwards.
The Government has spent and budgeted $8 million to purchase facilities to import liquefied natural gas, $4m of which was recently redirected from a pot of funding previously earmarked for “decarbonising” industry.
