Three weeks ago.

Steve Bannon filmed Jeffrey Epstein for 15 hours. His 'documentary' has never surfaced.: Business Insider

Steve Bannon took 15 hours of video of Jeffrey Epstein in the months before Epstein died in jail.

He said it was for a "documentary" — a claim that doesn't stand up to scrutiny.

Sources say Bannon was friends with Epstein and was trying to rehabilitate his reputation.

It will never see the light of day and just become another MAGA conspiracy theory

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Though unrelated to Epstein directly, you might find this story of an American blackmailer interesting. His name was Ed Murphy (no relation to the comedian)

Murphy was an FBI information who extorted prominent gay men in Washington, including a Congressman and an Admiral. One of his victims later committed suicide. After his arrests, there was widespread fear about what else Murphy knew and might expose.

See "PART THREE: FBI INFORMANT ED MURPHY" of American Mafia.

Just found this little gem...

The NY Times - Opinion - What to Do When the President Acts Like a 5-Year-Old?

Aug. 3, 2025

Imagine a group of 5-year-olds playing a board game. The rules are clear, the goal is fair, and one child edges ahead - until, suddenly, another child starts losing. That’s when the trouble begins. “He cheated!” the losing child yells. “I’m the winner anyway!” he declares. And then, like clockwork, he flips the board. In the world of kindergarten conflict resolution, we expect this kind of behavior. We chalk it up to development. We teach better sportsmanship.

What do we do when the president of the United States behaves this way? On Friday, President Trump fired the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics - the nation’s workaday scorekeeper of employment, wages and productivity. Why? Because the data didn’t make Mr. Trump look good. The statistics were inconvenient. So the president didn’t just challenge the findings; he fired the statistician.

That’s not governing. That’s board flipping. ...

South Carolina Representative Nance Mace has called billed herself as “Trump in heels.”

Recently, she backed a death-penalty stance for child rapists but simultaneously voted against releasing the Epstein files.

During the 2024 election, She repeatedly and knowingly mispronounced Kamala Harris's name.

She is known for a “toxic” leadership style. She had accused falsely claiming staff hacked her personal devices, spied on her children, sabotaged operations. Staff turnover is high.

She asked them to create “burner” social media accounts (or even bots) to artificially boost her online presence.

Mace spoke inside the House of Representatives (used House speech protections) to accuse her ex-fiancé and three others of rape, drugging, sex-trafficking, and filming women without consent. She did not present evidence to back up her allegations.

She’s proposed bans on transgender individuals using appropriate restrooms in congressional facilities and introduced related legislation.

During a House committee hearing, she used the transgender slur "trannies" repeatedly

She has had multiple controversies around campaign finance, including soliciting campaign donations from inside the U.S. Capitol during a live Fox Business interview.

Comedy Central Desi Lydic has a hard time believing Nancy Mace wants to "protect women"

The bad news is Trump is planning on a 100% tariff on chip manufacturers.

Good new is this is offset: “You know, we’ve cut drug prices by 1,200%, 1,300%, 1,400%, 1,500%. I don’t mean 50%, I mean 1400%, 1500%.” (That claim is mathematically impossible since a discount beyond 100% would mean you’re actually being paid to take drugs)

We all know Trump's a technological genius. After all when Trump showcased Teslas with previous bro Musk, Trump exclaimed "This is a different panel than I’ve ever. Everything’s computer!”"

On average in the U.S., a Greenfield chip facility project take 3 to 5 years when including pre-construction and permitting delays. The permitting alone can take 18 months.

TSMC’s Fab 21 in Arizona is scheduled for 5 years. It's budget estimated initially at $40 billion, now $65 billion, and future plans raising it to $165 billion

Intel mega-site proposals estimates range from $100 billion over a decade.

Trump plans 100% tariffs on chips but spares companies ‘building in US’

Donald Trump said he would impose a 100% tariff on foreign computer chips, likely raising the cost of electronics, autos, household appliances and other goods deemed essential for the digital age.

“We’ll be putting a tariff on of approximately 100% on chips and semiconductors,” Trump said in the Oval Office while meeting with Apple CEO Tim Cook. “But if you’re building in the United States of America, there’s no charge.”
...
Trump and Cook were meeting on Wednesday to discuss an agreement for Apple to invest $100bn in manufacturing in the US over the next four years. That comes after the iPhone maker already pledged to invest $500bn domestically earlier this year. With Apple’s new investment, the total figure is now at $600bn.

Of all the terrible things Donald Trump has said and done as president, the most dangerous one just happened on Friday.

Trump, in effect, ordered our trusted and independent government office of economic statistics to become as big a liar as he is.

He fired Erika McEntarfer, the Senate-confirmed head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, for bringing him economic news he did not like, and in the hours immediately following, the second most dangerous thing happened: The senior Trump officials most responsible for running our economy all went along for the ride. ...

Going forward, how many government bureaucrats are going to dare to pass along bad news when they know that their bosses will not only fail to defend them, but will actually offer them up as a sacrifice to Trump to keep their jobs? ...

Of course you do not just need to fire people to avoid bad news, Trump can order NASA to destroy satellites that confirm climate change he does not agree with https://www.irishstar.com/news/us-news/white-house-orders-nasa-deliberately-35680658

https://edition.cnn.com/2025/08/07/politics/polling-trump-voter-regret-analysis

A bit to read here, but the gist of it is that some voters are now starting to regret their vote for the orange buffoon - this group has taken the biggest hit:

Multiple polls, for instance, have shown an especially sharp drop in Trump’s approval among young adults. A recent CBS News-YouGov poll showed adults under 30 have gone from 55% approving of Trump in February to 28% last month.

CBS data last month also showed 16% of Republicans said Trump is doing different things than he promised on the campaign trail – which could certainly signify discontent.

Also Texas Democrats have fled the state to prevent a vote on new electoral maps at the request of the governor (who was instructed to do this by Trump); these new maps would give Republicans 5 more seats in the house and make midterms harder for Democrats next year.

In return, governor Abbott and Attorney General Paxton have called for them to be arrested:

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/the-backstory-fueling-the-texas-redistricting-bitterness/ar-AA1K33Bb?cvid=317d963abadf45acdcf2e40a05e01e32&ei=13

Having said that, Illinois governor Pritzker may come out better off than Abbott:

“They have a positive use for each other, maybe Pritzker even more,” political consultant James Carville said. “It doesn’t seem like much of a loser for either one. Especially if Democrats are successful at this.”

The real question, adds Carville, is “what does it mean for 2028? It’s going to be pretty significant. If the question is, ‘are they both using it to enhance their political brand,’ the answer is yes. But I think Pritzker will get more good out of it. It’s too good to be true for him.”

Further to the Texas Democrats situation:

(won't happen, but would be nice!)

Also some former Republican presidents give the orange buffoon what-for:

borderline NSFW.

This is the second episode since South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone signed a $1.5 billion deal with Paramount Global for streaming rights and new episodes. The deal secures the show's future for five years and includes producing 50 new episodes.

It focuses less on Trump, more on people in Trump's orbit.

It's brutal again.

Vance's spokesperson William Martin previously defended Vance over past text exchanges with a far-right figure. In the texts, Vance crudely described his aversion to the Ukrainian government and refusal to consider its pleas for U.S. assistance. “Dude I won’t even take calls from Ukraine, Two very senior guys reached out to me. The head of their intel. The head of the Air Force. Bitching about F16s.”

I expect Vance's spokesperson defense of Vance to be some variation of this "We never cancelled a Epstein meeting, because the Epstein list never existed. Also Epstein is a made-up characters like the Easter Bunny and Stormy Daniels. Never existed."

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/vp-vance-meeting-discuss-epstein-fallout-canceled-source-says-2025-08-06/: Reuters

A dinner for senior administration officials at Vice President JD Vance's residence to discuss topics including the Trump administration's handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case has been canceled after news of it leaked, a source familiar with the matter said.

A spokesman for Vance said the dinner, first reported by CNN, had not been planned.

"There was never a supposed meeting scheduled at the Vice President's residence to discuss Epstein strategy," said Vance spokesman William Martin.

The Trump administration has struggled for weeks to mitigate the political fallout from the Epstein investigation, amid public pressure for more transparency over its handling of files related to the convicted sex offender's case.

President Donald Trump had promised to make public files related to the disgraced financier's case if reelected. In July, however, the Justice Department said a previously touted Epstein client list did not exist, angering Trump's supporters, who have called for additional details to be released.
