Washington D.C relies on tourism for a big chunk of income.

I watched that short clip it was funny as. They all joked, and the guy that ticked him off, apologised. Zelensky then told him he's wearing the same suit, more laughter, was a good short watch

Given all that has to happen is for Trump to talk to Putin,
its another 2 week or 60 days to see how things go.

So Putin knows that he can just do what he wants, unless Ukraine has real teeth.
That will have to keep up with Russian re-armament as well.

Key Russian point is that Ukraine must downsize its military capability.

Putin only has so much time to get to Moldova, cower the Baltics, and get back the USSR sphere of influence.

Its not just Trump though.
J D Vance, Thiels sockpuppet, the whole cabinet is full of very Russian Oligarch money friendly ( Democracy is overrated we need strong Dictators ) types. So GOP after Trump will likely just follow the TechBro money.
Zuckerburg, Elon etc figure they can work quite happily as Oligarchs in authoritarian landscape, plus many in that sphere.

Ukraine has to be allowed to up its military capability substantially, and Europe has to get real on expensive re-armament.
Has to look at taking over that on the ground tripwire role that USA served for keeping Stalin at bay ( Berlin blockade and all ), and Kim's back from South Korea.

Im seeing a seismic shift with the DC meeting

Prior:

Putin wont fold on his land grab, in fact his snail pace delays allow him to gain ground while "acting" towards a peace deal

UKR wont fold on the land grabs

Trump is happy to force UKR to bend over so he can get his precious Nobel peace deal

Now:

The meeting was all of Putins opposition in a strong meeting

Trump will provide paid for arms and intelligence as his contribution to security measures.

EU wants boots on the ground, of NATO troops, using an Article 5 position, if one is attacked we all are attacked.

While the last point is a no go for Putin, it appears to not be his choice. USA, EU, UKR vs Putin pushes him into a corner.

They are pandering to Trump, which is required, and its a means to an end

Extra legs seems pretty obvious clue. We know doomsday is near if AI ever learns how many fingers, toes, arms and legs most people have.

Pro-Trump outlet to pay $67 million in voting defamation case: France 24

The settlement of the defamation case brought by Dominion Voting Systems was announced in a filing by Newsmax on Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Under the settlement agreement, Newsmax said it had paid Dominion $27 million on Friday and would pay $20 million in 2026 and the final $20 million in 2027.

Fox News settled a similar defamation lawsuit with Dominion in 2023 for $787.5 million and the Rupert Murdoch-owned television network has also been sued by another voting technology company, Smartmatic.

Dominion filed a defamation suit against Newsmax in 2021 over false claims that its voting technology was used to rig the 2020 election, in which Democrat Joe Biden defeated Republican Donald Trump.
