This is a huge worry !! My thoughts on how he is doing this as I write.

Yes, Immigration was a big campaign promise and vote getter, but it also covered up a very big underlying strategy. The GOP and the Heritage Foundation (Project 2025) also knew that to enforce this immigration policy, they would have to bolster ICE with troops across all the States that ICE would target. Why is this important? Because they knew it would cause widespread dissent across the USA, in Blue AND Red states. Along with this strategy, particularly in the Blue States, he/they are falsely claiming outright lawlessness and again sending in troops.

Yes, all this troop deployment on home soil is being challenged through the courts, but as we know the American court system is very slow and very politicly polarising.

His first target is the 2026 midterms.

So, here is my little theory. And yes, I do not know their Constitution or Law. But if he/they cause enough dissent and actual lawlessness, protests etc, and don't forget all those gun toting folks. It just takes one fatal shot, he will call Martial Law, gradually State by State. Then he will turn around and say that Free and Fair elections can not be held, therefore the midterms will be put on hold and if he/they can keep this going till the main 2028 elections he now becomes a Dictator.

As the above article said. Hitler followed this strategy in 53 days. Immigrants / Jews - give the populace a hate target and keep hammering on the lie. Goebbels conceptualised this with the "Big Lie", "people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one, and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it" This has been in Trumps playbook all his life.
