Medical site checks with a few professionals on Trump's health indications. One view allowed before paywall kicks in:

Some gems in there like "girther movement" people who think Trump's weight is higher than stated. The hand bruise consensus is senile purpura with a few other possibilities thrown in. My personal theory - Putin took him to the floor with a judo handshake ; )

Reuters - US appeals court says Trump cannot continue foreign aid cuts

Sept 5 (Reuters) - A U.S. appeals court on Friday declined to block a lower court ruling that said President Donald Trump's administration could not unilaterally cut billions of dollars of foreign aid, requiring the administration to quickly move to spend funds on projects authorized by Congress.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit made its ruling just days after a lower court ruled that the administration should take steps to spend roughly $11 billion on foreign aid projects before Congressional authorization for the spending expires in September.

The appeals court did not explain its decision, saying only that the Trump administration had not "satisfied the stringent requirements" to pause the ruling pending an appeal.

At last, some good news  😉

The unfortunate thing is that Donald Trump will be dead long before the full impact of his shit hits the fan!

When I saw Trump's "Truth", I thought it was a parody, written by an absurdist comedian.

“'I love the smell of deportations in the morning. Chicago about to find out why it’s called the Department of WAR.”

“Apocalypse Now” was a 1979 dystopian and insane Vietnam War movie. “Chipocalypse Now” is a contraction of Chicago and apocalypse.

Trump is alluding to napalm use in Vietnam, which clings to skin, melts flesh causing agony beyond relief. On the soldiers using it, they suffered psychological trauma from witnessing the extreme destruction napalm caused on civilians and enemy combatants.

“Apocalypse Now” movie scene.

I did see a comment by an American in a comments section.

re the orange buffoon sending troops into Chicago (and other Democratic states - funny how none have been sent to Texas, a border state) - God makes a good point here:

"Why does Fake News ABC’S This Week With George Slopadopolus have Low IQ ‘commentator’ Donna Brazile on the show?

The people Trump throws that one at are nearly all black people. Evil vicious racist classic that he is.

In April, American sourced Cabot Creamery issued a voluntary recall of 189 cases of its some of its butter. It had elevated levels of coliform bacteria, often associated with feces.

Unrelated Trump criticized Canada’s dairy tariff system. If US exports exceed Canadian quotas, Canada would impart a tariff from 245 % on cheese to nearly 300 % on butter.

...BUT... Canada has never imposed their tariff on US dairy; US exports have never exceeded Canadian quotas.

Still the Canadians are really angry about Trump's tariffs, so the story has been picked up by some Canadian media recently, conflating the tariffs with the fecal contamination. Canadian media is making "political hay.

Canadian public sentiment around U.S. goods makes it unsurprising. It's easy for Canadians to lump the two issues together.

The "51st state" has also soured the US-Canadian relationship.

Obviously all this international tension was entirely triggered by Trump's willful ignorance and arrogance.

Wilful ignorance is a good description. Trump really is ignorant, to an almost unbelievable degree. He acquires opinions, decides they are truth, has no interest in verifying them or learning anything new. He seems almost proud of his ignorance. His limited understanding of history is hopelessly garbled. He probably believes Marvel superheros are real. I suspect he gets affirmation in whatever he decides is true from the toadies who surround him and praise his superior understanding of things, but the depths of his ignorance are hard to ignore completely. Even he must occasionally bump up against this. When a journalist manages to ask an awkward question he can’t avoid, he goes on the attack since he obviously doesn’t have a clue. I think he must, on some level, sense just how ignorant he is, and this is why he disparages true understanding.

https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2025/sep/07/donald-trump-us-open-tennis-final

Donald Trump was booed and cheered at the US Open during the national anthem before Sunday’s men’s final. When stadium monitors showed him saluting as a member of West Point performed The Star-Spangled Banner, a burst of cheers sprang up and was quickly drowned out by boos, at which point the president offered a brief smirk. After the first changeover, he reappeared on the big screen and stayed up there for a while – causing fans to boo even longer until the camera cut away.

Regarding the US butter recall, Cabot Creamer was the first recall in April, due to likely feces contamination.

This month Bungie North America recalled of over 29,000 KG / 64,800 pounds, this time to "undeclared milk allergen", a labelling error.

Neither recall are related to tariffs or recent FDA changes, “Food Allergen Q&A Guidance”

But tensions are great between the US and once-friendly trading partners, so it's easy for Canada and China to make the US look even worse.

This tension is all Trump's fault.
