"I asked FCC chair if he had any new comment now that ABC has pulled Jimmy Kimmel's show, and he sent me this GIF."

Turmp is winning.

Albert Einstein: โ€œThe world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything.โ€

'The View' is known for covering hot topics. Jimmy Kimmel's suspension wasn't one of them.: Business Insider

The hosts of "The View" did not weigh in on ABC's decision to suspend Jimmy Kimmel's late-night show following comments the host made about Charlie Kirk's death, surprising some viewers.

On Thursday's broadcast of "The View," which airs on the same network as "Jimmy Kimmel Live!," hosts Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, Sunny Hostin, and Alyssa Farah Griffin discussed two news events during its "Hot Topics" segment: FBI director Kash Patel's handling of the Epstein Files, and RFK Jr. testifying before the CDC.
...
The show's hosts notably did not discuss Kimmel's suspension in its "Hot Topics" segment or at any other point during the show.

The notable lack of discussion on Kimmel's suspension came before FCC Chairman Brendan Carr appeared on The Scott Jennings Radio Show on Thursday afternoon. During the appearance, Carr suggested that he may look into "The View" for possible violations of the FCC's equal opportunities rule.

Surely there must be some legal avenue ABC could follow to prevent their licence being cancelled? This is nothing more than ridiculous bully-boy tactics by an attention-seeking narcissist who cannot handle a word of criticism. Is there no legal pathway they can follow to stop this from happening?

I know the orange buffoon says he had nothing to do with Kimmel's show being cancelled, but come on, we all know by now he's the biggest liar in the world, and to take anything he says with a grain of salt (or, a sack).

Again I ask, how is all this pointless, unnecessary crap helping American citizens struggling to keep up with the cost of living? ๐Ÿค”

ABC isn't concerned about their license. ABC and a partner have a couple of mergers planned for approval.

Ah right - I remember that was mentioned as the threat (initially), but taking your comment above into account they probably don't want to do anything to hurt the orange buffoon's fragile masculinity, and blah blah blah ๐Ÿ™„

Depressing to see how much the Republican party has, uh, "evolved" (one might say "regressed") in the last 25 years ๐Ÿ™„

These also caught my eye:

The NY Times - Jimmy Kimmel’s Show to Return to ABC on Tuesday Night

breaking

The network’s removal of Mr. Kimmel’s show last week almost immediately morphed into a flashpoint for free speech in America.

ABC said on Monday that “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” would return to its airwaves on Tuesday, ending an impasse that began last week. ...

It is still unclear whether Nexstar and Sinclair - two major television operators that own many ABC affiliates and have vowed to pre-empt “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” in the aftermath of his comments - will air future episodes of the show.

While it's good Kimmel is back, I wonder if he'll be changing the topics he talks about now at the request of the orange buffoon ๐Ÿ™„

Also, Whoopi Goldberg on The View weighed in on the whole Kimmel saga: https://people.com/the-view-finally-addresses-jimmy-kimmel-controversy-amid-fcc-threats-11814508

Essentially she tells Trump and co to get stuffed, and they won't be silenced.

I suppose he has to consider a couple of things. One: he knows ABC can and will fire him under pressure from Trump. Two: he speaks truth to power. Three: it's not just his job on the line, but also probably dozens if not hundreds of other people who work to put him the chair and will also likely be out of work if the show is cancelled again.

If it was me, three would probably be the most potent weapon wielded against me. It's one thing to be willing to put your own job on the line to do the right thing, but all those others as well...?

If he wants to be seen as "Selling out", then his show will be DOA anyway.

LOTS AND LOTS of people have cancelled subscriptions, holidays, etc etc etc, they will NOT be forgiving if he sells out.
