Trump Calls for Arrests After U.N. Escalatorgate: Time

...
"Not one, not two, but three very sinister events” occurred at the U.N. General Assembly meeting, Trump posted on Truth Social, also referencing an the escalator, his teleprompter and the sound system when he spoke before the body.
...
A spokesperson for the U.N. Secretary-General, said that a White House videographer running backwards up the escalator ahead of Trump appeared to have “inadvertently triggered” the built-in stop safety mechanism at the top of the escalator.
...
“The escalator going up to the Main Speaking Floor came to a screeching halt. It stopped on a dime,” Trump continued in his post. “It’s amazing that Melania and I didn’t fall forward onto the sharp edges of these steel steps, face first. It was only that we were each holding the handrail tightly or, it would have been a disaster.”

“The people that did it should be arrested,” Trump added. He said the Secret Service will be looking into the incident and that he sent a letter to U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres demanding an “immediate investigation.”
...
In addition to the escalator malfunction, Trump said the teleprompter went “stone cold dark” and that the sound was off during his speech, such that attendees could only hear his remarks through interpreters’ earpieces. “The first person I saw at the conclusion of the Speech was Melania, who was sitting right up front. I said, ‘How did I do?’ And she said, ‘I couldn’t hear a word you said,’” Trump wrote. “This wasn’t a coincidence, this was triple sabotage at the UN.”
...
the White House was responsible for operating the teleprompter for Trump, and that the sound system was designed for people at their seats to hear the addresses translated into six different languages. [in other words little amplification, because you wear expected to use earpiece for translation].
...
“No way those were accidents,” a right-wing influencer that goes by the username @wallstreetmav on X, posted. “I’d bet UN staff (which wouldn’t have jobs without our taxes) conspired to embarrass President Trump.”

“Trump isn’t taking the UN escalator situation seriously,” Mike Cernovich, a right-wing commentator and conspiracy theorist, posted on X. “I feel like I’m watching the Bolshevik revolution repeat. Where everyone on my side is in la la land and doesn’t understand what they are going to do to us if they can.”
...
Tennessee Republican Rep. Tim Burchett and right-wing activist Liz Wheeler publicly called for the U.N. to be defunded.

Mike Waltz, the U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., posted on X, “The United States will not tolerate threats to our security or dignity at international forums. We expect swift cooperation and decisive action.” Waltz said the embassy has issued formal demands to the U.N., including requiring “the complete results of the UN’s internal investigation into the escalator malfunction, including who or what caused it to halt and whether it was intentional sabotage.”

“They sabotaged them, and they could’ve hurt the first lady,” Fox News host Jesse Watters said.

She continued [joked???]: “I mean, this is an insurrection, and what we need to do is either leave the U.N. or we need to bomb it, It is in New York, though, right? Could be some fallout there—alright. Maybe gas it? No? OK. But we need to destroy it. Maybe can we demolish the building? Have everybody leave and then we will demolish the building?”

A columnist for the Sunday Times reported before the incident that U.N. staffers had “joked that they may turn off the escalators,” without citing specific sources.
...
“If someone in the building wanted Trump assassinated this would have been a great way to freeze him,” Chamberlain posted on X. Mark Lucas, founder of “America First” advocacy organization Veteran Action and founding board member of the Article III Project, said Trump “was trapped in a ‘fatal funnel’ when the escalator paused.”

“The stalled escalator with President Trump and first lady Melania stuck on it was a classic set up for an assasination hit,” Susan Crabtree, political correspondent for RealClearPolitics, posted, adding that the Secret Service failed to react quickly and decisively.
...
Whether glitch or plot, to Trump, the escalator fault was another example of the U.S. being dealt an unfair hand by the world.

The NY Times - Supreme Court Allows Trump to Slash Foreign Aid

26 Sep 2025

The Supreme Court on Friday allowed the Trump administration to withhold $4 billion in foreign aid that had been appropriated by Congress in a major test of Mr. Trump’s efforts to wrest the power of the purse from the legislature.

In its brief order, the court’s conservative majority said the president’s ability to conduct foreign affairs appeared “to outweigh the potential harm” faced by foreign aid recipients.

The court cautioned that its decision, technically a temporary holding while litigation continues through the lower courts, “should not be read as a final determination on the merits.”

The three liberal justices dissented ...

There seems to be a pattern emerging here ...  🙄

The courts are walking all over the Founding Father's Good Intentions and decades of precedent and ignoring the LONG term effects of their decisions, to kowtow to a person who doesn't care what they decide so long as it supports his pathological egotistical, narcistic view.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Sorry, boring. We have a saying about kicking in open doors. The original Spitting Images was witty as well as visually original and acerbic. This is just puppets doing gross things for no real reason. The images are definitely spitting but the content is just ho hum. Making someone look as stupid and gross as possible is easy but it does not carry a meaningful message if that is all there is.

The Washington Post - Opinion - The Keystone Kops come for James Comey

Trump’s first revenge indictment is looking increasingly incompetent.

The indictment of former FBI director James B. Comey on orders from President Donald Trump is equal parts intimidating and laughable.

It’s intimidating because it sends the message that Trump can order his Justice Department to find a way to charge political enemies - and, as Trump says, Comey won’t be the last.

But it also followed a Keystone Kops performance from Trump’s inexperienced prosecutor, and the charges look even weaker than expected. ...

The approved indictment is short on detail, so it’s possible that prosecutors have damning evidence that is not publicly available.

But on the surface, it appears remarkably weak.

Except a tweat from Elon like this

“Epstein wanted me on his island? LOL. Too bad he died before I could visit. The only reason I gfited him a Tesla so he could escape the Clintons. If I had gone to Epstein’s island, it would’ve been to install Neuralink and liberate the minds of trafficked billionaires. Meanwhile, your favorite politicians were frequent flyers. Stay woke. #PedosInPower #IAmTheStorm #WokeMindVirus””

I saw that a few days ago and Bernie was at his best. Very interesting to hear from the locals after he explained what was really happening in Washington. Well worth a look.

Democratic presidents have certainly pushed firms and platforms to act. But none have every given an explicit public command to a private company to fire a specific named person Only Trump has made public, personal, and aimed commands at employment decisions of a private firm.

For comparison, the worst a Democratic president has done
  • ZuckerBerg said the White House “pressured” Facebook on COVID misinformation .... BUT ... did not pressure him to fire anyone

  • Under the Obama DOJ there was “Operation Choke Point” which pressured banks and payment processors to cut ties with some payday lenders, escort services, or firearms sellers ... BUT ... again did not pressure anyone to be fired, and certainly name anyone.

Trump demands Microsoft fire Lisa Monaco: Politico

President Donald Trump is demanding that Microsoft fire former Biden Justice Department official Lisa Monaco, who Trump has previously blamed for federal investigations into his mishandling of classified documents and alleged election interference, furthering his retribution campaign against his former antagonists.

Trump urged the software giant to remove Monaco, who it recently appointed as its president of global affairs, and argued her tenure as former deputy Attorney General and connections to investigations he views as illegitimate discredit her.
...
In March, Trump rescinded her security clearance along with a handful of his other political adversaries, including former President Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris.
...
The move to pressure Microsoft to fire Monaco continues his mission to punish those who he viewed as seeking to undermine him.
