I'm hoping no one in this forum has heard about "med-beds".

Big QAnon scam.

Even if the files come out now, who is to say they are the real files?

May not even get that far, cowardly Mike Johnson is delaying swearing in the representative who won the other week, because as a Democrat she can push the vote to release the files:

https://meidasnews.com/news/mike-johnson-delays-swearing-in-adelita-grijalva-to-block-final-signature-on-epstein-petition

I don't get all the delays/blocks/deflections. America asks to see the Epstein files, the orange buffoon says, "Yes! I'll release the Amelia Earhart files!" 🙄

Okay, it's pretty obvious that Trump will be listed somewhere in the Epstein files (at least once). But if he's really done nothing wrong - and there's no indication he has (yet) - then what is he worried about? Why all the delays? Is he trying to hide something? 🤔

God I hope these clowns lose at least one of the midterm elections next year, it's time there were some serious checks put in place around this guy.

https://www.axios.com/2025/09/29/gaza-peace-deal-trump-netanyahu-meeting

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he supported President Trump's plan to end the war in Gaza during a press conference at the White House on Monday, with both leaders saying it was now up to Hamas to agree.

The big picture: The plan the White House released on Monday includes a step-by-step process for ending the war and governing Gaza into the future — initially with Trump chairing a "peace board" for the enclave.

Driving the news: "If Hamas rejects the deal, Bibi you will have our full backing to do what you have to do," Trump said, referring to Netanyahu by his nickname.

Breaking it down: An updated peace plan released by the White House on Monday mentions a technocratic government made up of Palestinians, to be supervised by a "board of peace" led by Trump and including former U.K. Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Sigh. Yet more bloviating from the orange buffoon and one of his cronies. I can't see this going anywhere (ie, Hamas won't agree to it). And "board of peace"? When he's sending ICE to Democrat-run cities to "crack down" on almost non-existent crime?? Spare me 🙄

Even more frightening - listening to Trump as he drones on in his senile monotone - he has difficulty forming a meaningful short sentence.

This is the "leader of the free world"?

I saw an interview of Elon Musk proudly talking about product Grok's virtual girlfriend.

He mention it was suggestive, but wow. I never imagined this. It wants you engaged, spending dollars, and doesn't care how it does it.

Next it'll be a sexy Grok version of the Qanon Shaman, encouraging you to drive your car through protestors.

kingdragonfly: the Qanon Shaman

Speaking of which... https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/qanon-shaman-trump-lawsuit-capitol-riots-b2835709.html

In the lengthy complaint, Chansley states that he is the “true” American president and that America should only have two laws: the Bill of Rights and the original U.S. Constitution.

What you mean "next"? I'm sure some MAGA (of all genders, which exist, despite their claims otherwise) will find him... sexy in a dumb white supremacist way.

Okay, this made me laugh. This young lass:

https://www.nytimes.com/2025/09/22/us/politics/lindsey-halligan-trump.html

Lacking from her background altogether, however, is any experience in working as a prosecutor or overseeing the complex national security cases that regularly pass through the Eastern District of Virginia. Court records show that Ms. Halligan, who has largely spent her career handling insurance matters in Florida, has filed appearances in only a handful of federal cases during her decade in the law — all of them as one of Mr. Trump’s personal lawyers.

has already somehow managed to "step on a rake" with her James Comey indictment and screw it up: https://www.thebulwark.com/i/174831139/quick-hits

...submitting to Judge Lindsey Vaala two different and contradictory versions of the same grand jury indictment—one that suggested a grand jury had agreed to bring two charges, the other of which suggested they had brought three. “This has never happened before,” the judge said, puzzling over the documents. “I’m a little confused as to why I was handed two things with the same case number that are inconsistent.”

“So I only reviewed the one with the two counts,” Halligan said. “I did not see the other one. I don’t know where that came from.”

“You didn’t see it?” the judge replied. “It has your signature on it.”

If this is an indication of what lies ahead, I think this indictment of him is basically going to be dead in the water before it even gets started!

Great for Comey - it will save him a lot of money on expensive lawyers. Not so great for democracy or justice overall, as it might never make it to a precedent-setting stage.

The Washington Post - Trump tells a roomful of silent generals to join a ‘war from within’

today

President Donald Trump delivered a meandering address to an unprecedented gathering of the country’s top military leaders, railing against his predecessor, celebrating tariffs and floating the idea of using American cities as a training ground for the military as he painted a picture of the U.S. under attack “from within.”

Trump in recent months has lambasted blue cities and states as hotbeds of crime, but the speech at Marine Corps Base Quantico on Tuesday morning marked the first time he publicly directed military leaders to be “a major part” of fighting a “war from within” in cities such as San Francisco, Chicago, New York and Los Angeles.

The president spoke for more than an hour to a largely silent room ... Trump, who draws energy off of instantaneous feedback, appeared to speak more slowly than usual and in a monotone * ...

As Trump wrapped up his address, some officers stood and lightly applauded. Others remained seated.

Already, the remarks by the president and his defense secretary are drawing criticism from former military officials.

Pete Hegseth spent millions to fly in all of our generals and admirals to rant about facial hair and brag about how many pull-ups he can do, and have Donald Trump sleepwalk through a list of partisan gripes.” (retired Army Major General Paul D. Eaton)

Perhaps Trump forgot he made comments like this

“I need the kind of generals that Hitler had”

And later “I know more about ISIS than the generals do, believe me.”

Trump reportedly called former Defense Secretary Jim Mattis “the world’s most overrated general.”

During a recent campaign stop Trump said “I said to one of the generals, who was a good general – he wasn’t a woke general. Do you notice the woke generals we have? This was a real general.”

Later in his speech he said: “Our generals and our admirals are now focused more on this nonsense than they are on our enemies. Do you see these generals lately on television? They are woke. Our military will be incapable of fighting and taking orders.”

Trump during the same event, who claims to love the first amendment, “We need a Republican Congress to ban critical race theory”.

Getting back to Trump's forced gathering of generals, I'm pretty sure in his little brain, he was expecting a North Korean style un-ending wave of applause Kim Jong Un.

In The Gulag Archipelago (1973), Solzhenitsyn describes a Communist Party meeting where people applauded Stalin for an absurdly long time.

Nobody dared be the first to stop, because stopping might signal insufficient loyalty. Eventually, one man stopped clapping and was arrested later that night.
