They are pretending that they are only that stupid...
Numbers add up!

The only reason the coward isn't swearing that young lass in is the second he does so, he knows a vote on releasing the Epstein files will be brought to the floor, and it will pass, as she would make enough votes for that to happen.
Of course, this is all being driven by the orange buffoon - he does not want those files released, ever. But she can't not be sworn in forever, either.
But as I asked on the other page, why is Trump so scared of the files being released? (From memory, he campaigned on doing this.) But he must be in the files in a really bad way, for him to go to all these lengths to try and stop their release. If he really had nothing to hide, he'd be falling over himself to get the files released.

The Washington Post - Opinion - Trump’s ballroom is a gilded warehouse (unlocked link - read it all!)
President Trump’s crown envy inspires his White House makeover.
24 Oct 2025
Notwithstanding the millions of Americans who turned out for the No Kings protests last weekend, we clearly have a king in residence at the building formerly known as the White House. Going forward, it shall be known as The Palace.
It appears the president of the United States suffers crown envy. Or, perhaps, sheikh envy.
His new, under-construction ballroom will rival that of other countries where leaders are bloodline monarchs or recently enriched oil barons.
One thing is for certain: Donald Trump will out-gild and out-chandelier the Saudi king’s residence.
Suffice to say, we never should have let Trump go to Riyadh, where Trump was treated like royalty. ...
As most have seen by now, the East Wing has been completely demolished.
“It was never thought of as being much,” His Majesty said of the wing that housed the first lady’s office and otherwise was used for ceremonial events. “It was a very small building.”

The NY Times - Bannon Claims ‘There Is a Plan’ for Trump to Run for a Third Term
24 Oct 2025
Stephen K. Bannon, the pro-Trump podcaster and convicted fraudster (who briefly served as President Trump’s White House chief strategist in his first term) publicly threw his support behind the president’s talk of seeking a third term, in defiance of a constitutionally mandated two-term limit.
In an interview with The Economist, Mr. Bannon vaguely asserted that there was “a plan” to circumvent the 22nd Amendment, which states that “no person shall be elected to the office of the president more than twice,” regardless of whether the terms are consecutive.
“Trump is going to be president in ’28, and people ought to just get accommodated with that,” he said.
“At the appropriate time, we’ll lay out what the plan is,” said Mr. Bannon, without elaborating.
He added that Mr. Trump was an “instrument of divine will,” echoing, as Mr. Trump himself has, the language of the divine right of kings.
Mr. Bannon’s statement comes after months of Mr. Trump publicly toying with the idea of running for a third term. ...

Christ, I hope not. But I can imagine a scenario where Republicans are too scared of the orange buffoon (I'm assuming that there is both another election in 2028 and he is still alive as he's heinously unhealthy), and they nominate him as their candidate for a 4th time, ignoring the Constitution and the rules around people being elected more than twice. Democrats don't take it lying down, with lawsuits and whatnot. Republicans don't give a stuff, leave him on the ballot, and he (somehow) gets voted in a third time, either legitimately or via election fraud/rigging - the one thing he constantly whines about supposedly happening in 2020 when he actually lost fair and square.
After all that, if you think Trump 2.0 is bad? Hell, you ain't seen nothin' yet 🙄
Depressing, isn't it.
One small glimmer of hope is that the Wikipedia article for the 2028 election says Trump has actually declined - but how long will he stick to that decision for? For all I know, he could say next week he's going to do it again in 2028, coming up with some bs reason as to why he thinks he can.
One small glimmer of hope is that the Wikipedia article for the 2028 election says Trump has actually declined -
Yep I can imagine it going along those lines too, good guess. Having said that, I really hope you're wrong and it doesn't turn out that way.
The NY Times - President Trump’s Approval Rating: Latest Polls
Updated Oct. 25, 2025
There have been relatively few polls testing Donald Trump's approval rating since the shutdown began, but the polls we do have suggest his job approval numbers have not changed much one way or the other.
