Am I right in saying that post was from a Trump supporter?

Ah right, in that case my sympathy for someone like that is usually a number amounting (or quite close) to 0. You got what you voted for, indeed.

While I'll admit that Harris wasn't exactly the world's best candidate, she wouldn't have stopped even half of the low-income income support programmes that the orange buffoon has. If anything I bet she probably would have gone out of her way to increase them where she could.

Next up I imagine we'll probably see the person in the Facebook post above tagging Trump in the vain hope that he gives enough of a s--t about them to personally do something...when the reality is he really couldn't care less.

Edit; I think I found the original story you're referring to: https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/maga-mom-snap-going-viral-155120624.html

Republican replacement bill (the American Health Care Act) failed to pass 8 years ago!

A nonpartisan estimate by Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projected that passage would lead to many Americans losing insurance (tens of millions over time).

And so far no other plan has come forward.

The Senate versions tried to strike a balance but ended up alienating both conservative Republicans

They thought the act didn’t go far enough in dismantling the Obamacare / Affordable Care act. The same usually

A few moderate Republicans feared the bill would result in millions losing coverage or facing higher costs.

They also didn't have the balls to go against their base elderly voters and cut Medicaid expansion and reduce subsidies. And opposed the changes to coverage protections.

In a surprise to no one

White House postpones expected unveiling of new health care cost proposal: CNN

The White House has postponed its rollout of a new proposal to address health care costs aimed at averting a spike in premiums driven by the expiration of key Affordable Care Act subsidies, a White House official said.

President Donald Trump was originally expected to unveil the plan on Monday, but now that is not happening. The official did not provide a reason for the delay.

Maybe we'll see "a concept of a plan" in "the next two weeks" 🙄

"MAKE HONDURAS GREAT AGAIN!"

One reader's response to this:

President Trump is directly and publicly intervening in the elections of a foreign nation and has also promised to grant a pardon to former President of Honduras Juan Orlando Hernández, who is currently serving a 45-year sentence in US federal prison for, among other things, participating in and profiting from a drug-trafficking conspiracy that moved more than 400 tons of cocaine into the United States (a street value in the tens of billions of dollars).

Meanwhile Trump is assembling military forces around Venezuela while accusing Venezuela's president of sending drugs to USA.

Pretty much everyone except Trump agrees - almost zero drugs transit Venezuela compared to Mexico and Columbia.

Venezuela has one of the world's largest confirmed oil reserves

Since he doesn't think much of science and his brain is only capable of continuing ‘business as usual’ in the US with pyramid schemes, he can't think of much else to do but simply take what he needs. Let's see when the Inuit in Greenland become drug smugglers.

The previous lavish and wasteful ‘American way of life’ has been leading to economic disaster for several decades, but the Americans still don't seem to have noticed. The Russians have always been strapped for cash, but they are more Mongolian-robber-like than innovative. The Chinese are mercilessly exploiting their opportunities on both sides and have already secured much of the world for themselves.

What else is left for a ‘talented’ Donald and his entourage in the world besides their military forces?

That's actually very accurate. It's likely the trafficking started before President of Honduras Juan Orlando Hernández took office, amd he continued until he was thrown in jail (at least hopefully it stopped, you never know).

Non–right-wing Honduran media and analysts are reacting with sharp criticism, describing Trump’s pardon announcement and election intervention as destabilizing, undemocratic, and a dangerous endorsement of corruption.

Many see it as an attempt to rehabilitate Juan Orlando Hernández’s disgraced legacy and to tilt Honduras’ election in favor of the National Party, which is widely associated with Hernández’s narco‑politics.

The other big pardon news - Trump last month telling Israel's parliament Netanyahu should get a pardon for the corruption trial ongoing since 2020 and not even finished yet.

This week Netanyahu decided to make a show of formally requesting a pardon from the constitutional president of Israel. Instant protests in Israel. I'd guess protests will grow larger and stronger than ever before if that actually goes through. There are many signs it may happen by hook or by crook:

In a 90-second video, the six Democrats, all with military or national security backgrounds, criticised Trump and reminded military personnel they had the right to disobey "unlawful orders".

Although they did not detail any order, they my have been referring to the deployment of National Guard troops to US cities and the US Navy raids on alleged drugs traffickers in the Caribbean.

Trump's response to the video, however, was quick and sharp. He called it "seditious behaviour, punishable by death" and said the Democratic lawmakers should be arrested and tried.

How does one pardon a criminal in and from another country, exactly?
