This one is especially savage. Not just because it implies he falls asleep in cabinet meetings, but also because it implies he supports:

Which of course, we know he does.

Yes, he does, he supports anything that gratifies him. Peace and lives are just HIS collateral damage. Shameful.

The NY Times - The Supreme Court, Once Wary of Partisan Gerrymandering, Goes All In  (unlocked link)

05 Dec 2025

Only two decades ago, all nine Supreme Court justices agreed that extreme partisan gerrymandering could violate the Constitution, though they differed on what courts should do about it.

On Thursday, by contrast, the court’s conservative majority allowed Texas to use voting maps made to disadvantage Democrats in the 2026 election, without a hint of constitutional difficulty. ...

The state told the justices in an emergency application that “two primary goals motivated the map drawing: protecting Republican incumbents and finding five new strongly Republican seats.”

In an unsigned opinion on Thursday, over the dissents of the three Democratic appointees, the majority protected the state’s new maps, overturning a lower court’s finding that race was improperly used to draw them.

Good grief!  🙄

The individual who shot active duty National Guard members in Washington was employed as a CIA funded child soldier in Afghanistan:

Truthout: If Zero Unit fighters arrived at your home at night, no Afghan court, police officer, or ministry could protect you. Washington designed the units this way. The U.S. wanted a rapid-response force unconstrained by local bureaucracy, political negotiations, or legal limits.

That sounds a lot like the current administration.

Costco taking court action against the Trump administration to recover tariffs paid

https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2025/12/01/costco-sues-trump-tariffs-trade-supreme-court.html

Costco DEI programs continued in spite of attempted MAGA muffin boycott:

https://www.marketplace.org/story/2025/05/22/costco-doubles-down-on-dei-and-benefits

Total failure to resist large muffins. In fact, Costco observed a turnover increase in a period when Target cancelled DEI related initiatives under pressure from the administration and was subject to a consumer boycott.

Also, if you're in NZ - Alpine Mozzarella Cheese 2kg $29.00, Alpine Edam Cheese 1kg $10.99 ; ).

gzt: Total failure to resist large muffins

Though uncommon I've heard the slang "MAGA muffins" used occasionally. A reference to "muffin top": the bulge of fat / love handles/belly fat spilling over the waistband of tight, low-rise pants or skirts, resembling a muffin overflowing.

But in this case it's certainly Costco selling Hostess Cakes jumbo muffins; the same company that makes "Twinkies", a product often used in jokes about zombies / post nuke apocalypse as a food in name only.

I guess if you enough a 12 pack of Hostess Cakes jumbo muffins, you get a muffin top for your friends to mock.

You'll remember Trump appointed himself as director of the New York's Kennedy Center of Arts, and filled the board with cronies.

I speculate that's because he never got a Emmy Awards for television, which vexes him.

Gloria Gaynor donated to Republican candidates

Sylvester Stallone is a supporter of Republican causes, and has publicly praised the current president.

Donald Trump Slams 'Miserable, Horrible People' in Audience While Hosting Kennedy Center Honors: People

Trump made himself host of the annual event, marking a first for any sitting or former president

President Donald Trump hosted the 2025 Kennedy Center Honors on Dec. 7, where he awarded Sylvester Stallone, George Strait, KISS, Gloria Gaynor and Michael Crawford for their contributions to the arts.

While addressing the crowd at the event, Trump said some in the audience were "miserable, horrible people"

Trump is grandfather of 11.

As Trump might described someone of his own age, a doddering old fool, a gaffer past his wits, a wool-gatherer, a tottering simpleton who's not right in his faculties.

Trump's memory fails him like an old clock losing its spring.

He rambles on in the manner of those well into their dotage.

Anyhow back to modern English, Jimmy Kimmel never hosted the Kennedy Center Honors.
