I admire Trump so much I'd like to see him in the foundation of a building.

Stop it! Do you want it to collapse when he turns around? 😁😉

Only if the building also has his name on it.

I'm only speaking for myself, but I see Trump and his antics. Sadly, thats a normality, so no news to see here. However, he ramps up his incompetence literally daily. He is on narcissistic steroids, but he can't see it. I have no doubt that his family and allies see it. Excuses to follow. Im hoping that this is not a trigger for China to snatch Taiwan as its an easy precedent, and no doubt that Trump will be ok with that. You get your plunder, I will get mine. Putin to be given permission to get Ukraine. Trump to go after his western hemisphere control and territory.

Most Children typically outgrow intense temper tantrums by age 5. Not Trump.

I hope conservatives find never ending solace that they "owned the libs". Pity about the friendly fire on everyone else.

Trump says he vetoed water project in part because so many people are leaving Colorado

5 years ago today... 😢

https://www.thebulwark.com/i/183670295/january-th-never-ended

Who’s to say Trump couldn’t try to pull the same thing here [as in Venezuela]? That after a hotly contested 2028 election between, say, JD Vance and Gavin Newsom, in which he and his apparatus again spread elaborate rigged-election conspiracies among their followers, Trump might announce that the new president will be—temporarily, of course—neither? Trump himself would just have to stay on—just until they can get to the bottom of the election fraud that obviously took place.

The Washington Post - The 5-Minute Fix

06 Jan 2025

Trump in many ways is stronger than ever

He’s back in office despite being impeached and prosecuted for the attack.

The charges against him for his role in inciting the violence and trying to overturn the 2020 election were dropped when he won the presidency in 2024. Trump has asserted he did nothing wrong that day. “They impeached me for nothing twice,” he said Tuesday, speaking to House Republicans.

Former special counsel Jack Smith recently defended his prosecutions and said he would have secured convictions against Trump.

When Trump took that case to the Supreme Court, the justices extended immunity to him and all former presidents for clearly official actions. The Supreme Court since then has temporarily upheld many of Trump’s efforts to expand presidential power.

The NY Times - President Expects Impeachment if G.O.P. Falters in Midterm Elections

breaking

Impeachment: President Trump told House Republicans at a party retreat that they must retain control of the chamber in the midterm elections, saying he expected to face a third impeachment if Democrats retake the majority.

They’ll find a reason to impeach me,” Mr. Trump said. “I’ll get impeached.”

He warned about the history of midterms going against the party that holds the White House and said trumpeting his administration’s policies was a “road map to victory.”

The Don is showing an unusual degree of insight here.  😶

trouble is that this is him warming his base up for another ground swell attack by his faithful mindless if he does lose midterms and of course another round of pardons for them all.

Of course, as we all know, impeached != convicted.

True, but at least impeachment would slow his endless nonsense down a bit.

The Guardian - Trump pulls US out of 66 international bodies, including key UN climate treaty

07 Jan 2026

The Trump administration will withdraw from dozens of international organizations, including the UN’s population agency and the UN treaty that establishes international climate negotiations, as the US further retreats from global cooperation.

Donald Trump on Wednesday signed an executive order suspending US support for 66 organizations, agencies and commissions ...

Most of the targets are UN-related agencies, commissions and advisory panels that focus on climate, labor and other issues that the Trump administration has categorized as catering to diversity and “woke” initiatives. ...

The state department said additional reviews are ongoing.

So, in effect, he is "ring-fencing" the USA and saying "it is the USA way or the highway". Straight out of the dictators' instruction manual.

Internally, those that disagree with him, well, there is ICE and the weaponised justice system.

Externally, tourism, exports, diplomacy, UK Special Relationship, NATO Relationships, UN Relationships and a host of other relationships all down or gone.

There is no such thing or even a hint of global bipartisanship or peace now coming out of the White House. It is just USA - China - Russia.

Europe/UK are toothless.

He is rushing to do all these things and more before the mid-terms because he knows there is a very good chance that the Democrats will win both houses and the fact that Congress can overturn all his executive orders through a two-thirds majority in both Houses.

Bring on the mid-terms and FFS Democrats, get your act together.

There is no way that the Dems will get a 2/3 congressional majority in the midterms.... There has been so much historical (and recent) gerrymandering that many seats are certain outcomes... the number of genuine contests will be low...
