tdgeek: He may secretly accept that he cannot manage anything, so he may dig deep on Greenland. 55,000 citizens that are armed with honesty and fishing nets. If he does push on, NATO need to step up. Who knows, it may fold NATO and instantly create another Treaty Organisation, excluding the US. Just another step as the globe eases away from the US

The thing is - getting out of NATO Trump would probably see that as a plus. For Europe, it's a bad time to try. 20 years ago maybe there was a good chance. Today, EU would not be keen imo.

I am very curious myself. Once again, we have been caught off guard. Logically, it would have been NATO, as threatened. Or we swallow the bitter pill and prepare ourselves gently for withdrawal until we are militarily ready to compensate. But Greenland would already be gone by then, no matter how much protest there might be. Better an enemy in front than a false friend behind.

I agree fully. My issue is Trump meddles with his words, causing hope for the protesters, so they keep protesting, and like many of his actions, will cause more deaths.

Iran is an extremely complex situation

"I can't think of any American intervention that has worked out well for the targeted country." 100%. The list goes on and on

(Sarcasm, but probably still accurate if the orange buffoon says he is going to "help" people protesting in Iran):

"The plane used by the U.S. military to strike a boat accused of smuggling drugs off the coast of Venezuela last fall was painted to look like a civilian aircraft,"

🤔

Apparently not...

President Donald Trump flipped off an autoworker as he toured a Michigan Ford plant in an incident caught on video Tuesday, and the White House defended the action as an “appropriate” response to someone screaming at the commander-in-chief.

The NY Times - Trump’s ‘Superstar’ Appellate Judges

11 Jan 2026

President Trump promised to fill the appeals courts with “my judges.” They have formed a nearly united phalanx to defend his agenda from legal challenges. ...

The president’s appointees voted to allow his policies to take effect 133 times and voted against them only 12 times.  92 percent of their total votes were in favor of the administration.

Suspended Michigan autoworker who heckled Trump gets outpouring of donations: The Guardian

Tens of thousands of dollars have been raised for an autoworker at a Ford plant in Michigan who was suspended without pay after heckling Donald Trump.

TJ Sabula is said to have called the president a “pedophile protector” as Trump toured the automotive giant’s River Rouge complex on Tuesday.

Trump then appeared to give Sabula the middle finger, according to a video published by celebrity news and gossip site TMZ, which claimed that Trump also yelled obscenities prior to making the gesture.

In an interview with the Washington Post, Sabula said “as far as calling him out” he had “definitely no regrets whatsoever”. But he said he was concerned about his job security after the incident, claiming he had been “targeted for political retribution” and for “embarrassing Trump in front of his friends”.

“I don’t feel as though fate looks upon you often, and when it does, you better be ready to seize the opportunity,” Sabula added in the interview. “And today I think I did that.”

A GoFundMe was created on his behalf to help cover lost income from the suspension. As of Wednesday lunchtime, it had raised more than $150,000, with purported donors including the band the Dropkick Murphys.

Pages created for TJ Sabula have raised US$810k so far. Not yet enough to get him over a potential lifetime hiring ban imo but a good start.
