He is solely interested in the mineral resources – everything else is just a smokescreen.

Ditto Venezuela - do you really think the orange buffoon would have gone in there if Venezuela's main product was turnips? 😁

The Daily Beast - Doctor Claims Trump, 79, Suffered Serious Medical Issue

15 Jan 2026

Introduction only - read the article !

Donald Trump suffered a stroke several months ago and has kept it from the public, a prominent medical expert has suggested.

While we're on the topic of health - I checked and this was correct; Fred Trump did suffer from dementia when he was not far off the same age as his son is now (just slightly older):

Well, he's definitely up for Time Person of the Year 2026 at least.

He's in good company. Hitler was Time's Person of the Year 1938.

And you'll all be shocked to learn that he accepted it.

Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado gave her Nobel Peace Prize medal to US President Donald Trump on Thursday during a White House meeting, as she tries to gain some influence over how the president shapes the South American country's political future.

A White House official confirmed that Trump intends to keep the medal.

In a social media post on Thursday evening, Trump wrote: "Maria presented me with her Nobel Peace Prize for the work I have done. Such a wonderful gesture of mutual respect. Thank you Maria!"

No, Don, every single person in the world except you knows that there was no "mutual respect" about it you petty little worm.

I don't need TDS to smell a complete idiot 10 km away against the wind. 😁 I wonder where all those clever American officers with sharp minds on aircraft carriers and submarines, whom we saw in American hero films over the last few decades, have gone? At least we had Colonel Graf von Stauffenberg. 😎

Here we go … 15 mountain rangers personally „instructed“ by our Minister of Defense. 😉

France has also sent 15, and more from other NATO partners will follow (I think until the strength of about 150 to 200 US soldiers in Greenland is reached, who are securing the entire USA against the Chinese and Russians there - without any dog sledges. They can carry out their US missions maybe in the famous Tesla Cybertrucks with heated seats). 🤣

The NAACP is the "National Association for the Advancement of Colored People" It's name is a bit anachronistic since it is America's oldest and largest civil rights organization, founded in 1909.

Goals are to fight racial discrimination, segregation, and injustice. It wants political, educational, social, and economic equality for Black people through advocacy, litigation, and grassroots activism.

Of course Stephen Miller is someone who make the Slender Man feel creepy

More or less total nonsense but backed up by a guy who will do his best to make it real who has a boss with a record of pardoning violent nutjobs. Not guaranteed but a triple pinky promise if you value that more than a potential life sentence under the next administration.

Miller tweets should come with one of those not a lawyer seek independent legal advice from a sane person disclaimers.

Some good cartoons this weekend, a couple relating to the orange buffoon getting "awarded" (lol) a Nobel Peace Prize:

ICE operations in the style of Richard Scarry:

Putin celebrates Trump's attention-seeking stupidity:

Trump and his cabinet discuss the woman killed by ICE (featuring a very pale Stephen Miller - as seen above):

and finally, a simple yes-or-no test:

The Washington Post - Trump’s promised manufacturing boom is a bust so far

16 Jan 2026

Introducing the highest U.S. tariffs since the Great Depression, President Donald Trump made a clear promise in the spring: “Jobs and factories will come roaring back into our country.”

They haven’t.

Manufacturing employment has declined every month since Trump declared “Liberation Day” in April, saying his widespread tariffs would begin to rebalance global trade in favor of American workers. ...

Another predictable Trump fail.  😒
