Here we go, as Mart posted as well above

“Based on a very productive meeting I had with the Secretary General of NATO, Mark Rutte, we have formed the framework of a future deal with respect to Greenland and, in fact, the entire Arctic region,” Trump said in a Truth Social post.

It wont be to buy it, it will be to put more bases, possibly engage in mineral mining.  ALL of which they can already do since an agreement circa 1951, lol

Well, the damage has already been done.

He actually believes that the money coming in from his tariffs comes from the respective countries and that America is thus getting back what these countries „stole“ from the US. Unbelievable. Has it not occurred to him that America wanted to pay the price for its hegemony in the Cold War?

I truly believe that if people actually listen to the stuff that Gavin Newsom is saying, they may find that the benefits outweigh the consequences of their actions: i.e. stand up to the bully, call his bluff and direct trade elsewhere to hurt him in the best way possible...financially.

Danish people are doing what Canadians have done months ago. Apps for boycotting American products surge to the top of the Danish App Store | TechCrunch

Cue Trump going all "The Danish people are being very mean to the USA"

Commentary and interviews this morning on CNN, that EU and UK needs to follow Canada being tough. Like Macron also. Starmer needs to step up. When a bully is responded to in like terms, Trump eases back. If you dont he is more empowered to grow his rhetoric

Trump says what is 'by his measure', convenient for the moment.
To stab someone in the back first you have to get close enough.

Putin was not invading Ukraine twice.
Him, his spokesmen and propagandists mocking the warmongering west for even thinking so forgotten.
He was the model of a man of peace, while violating a peace deal invading Chechnya, Georgia, being Assads brutal enforcer and more.

Trump lies all day every day.
He has also bought into his cabinet those who were the real source of these ideas.

Evangelical in their desire to create Putin's multipolar world.
Oligarchs and Kleptocracy everywhere.
Religion no problem, the rich can buy indulgences, 'go straight to heaven card'.

Trump does not come up with this stuff.
He just wants to bask in glory as 'King of the World'.
Swim in a vault of gold like Scrooge McDuck.

Winning by all accounts as Epstein is out of the news.
It would hurt my friends he says.
So not just you with a decade or more, Evangelical in your mutual grabbing.
Your best friends holding Epstein so close too sounds so much better. :-)

Got this on in the background:

Just heard Trump's speech where he told the Prime Minister of Switzerland (who does not exist; they have a president) that if it wasn't for the US in WWII they'd all be speaking German. 🤣

Imagine the Swiss speaking German! What a crazy world that would be.

AlterNet - Here are 6 wild moments from Trump’s Greenland diatribe at Davos

21 Jan 2026

Here are six "highlights" of his speech to the Davos forum:

(headings only)

1. Trump says he "wasn't going to talk about" Greenland ...

2. Canadian prime minister Mark Carney apparently gets under Trump's skin.

3. Trump wants credit for the Israeli defense system.

4. Trump reminisces about NATO's Secretary-General Mark Rutte calling him "Daddy".

5. Trump issues thinly-veiled threat to Denmark and NATO.

6. Trump appears to confuse Iceland with Greenland.

No surprises there, then ...  🙄

"Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes asks Trump to commute prison sentence"

Cue Trump saying she was "badly treated".

Meanwhile his sons will report heavy buy on their crypto scams.

meanwhile the republicans in congress want to impeach 2 federal judges because the were mean to Trump.  This is the worse thing Trump and his cronies are doing , trying to take over the justice system. The Judges are fighting it but you wonder for how long.

The NY Times - Opinion - Trump’s Norway Letter

21 Jan 2026

Here is the full text of  the letter from US President Trump to the prime minister of Norway over his demand to take "complete and total control of Greenland" ...

Dear Jonas,

Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America.

Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a "right of ownership" anyway?

There are no written documents, it's only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also.

I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States.

The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland.

Thank you!

President DJT

The uncomfortable truth is that the president of the United States is a man with the mind of a spoiled child. His debilitating solipsism* is a threat to the stability of the entire world.

A functional Congress would impeach and remove him. But the Republican majority is in a codependent relationship with the president, unable to separate his identity from that of their party.

And the president’s advisers are either cowed supplicants desperate to please or scheming viziers eager to use his power for their own ends. There is no one, then, to pressure Trump to resign like there was for Nixon. ...

We have three years left with a mad king. It does not feel sustainable.

* solipsism: a theory holding that the self can know nothing but its own modifications and that the self is the only existent thing

also : extreme egocentrism

Even if Trump went tomorrow, next year or 2028 the problems for the United States and the World will continue. The US is so divided, broken and its problems so deeply ingrained that the only option is divorce and even then there will be issues. Trump has opened and thrown salt on a deep sore that has has been festering since April 9, 1865.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Trump is the ideal choice for the real power brokers. His pathological craving for recognition is relatively easy to control by simply giving him sugar packets, glittery beads, gold-plated tin medals and ‘awards’. All they have to do is make him feel like he did it all on his own.
