Pam Bondi was provided with document search term history for each member of Congress who interacted with unredacted Epstein files provided by the Department of Justice:

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/bondi-epstein-files-search-history-hearing-pramila-jayapal/

Presumably Bondi was trying to be one step ahead of questions before the congressional hearing. It sounds to anyone like a spyware technique and in Bondi's hands it was. The advance knowledge didn't help Bondi much. The hearing was more or less a disaster for the interests of the Trump administration.

Is there no way these people will ever blame the Orange Idiot for anything?

MAGATs would likely blame Gerald Ford if they thought they could make it work for them.

Who knew Trump would 'talk' Bigly of American manufacturing renaissance.

Then stop commissioning of a South Korean high tech factory by placing its workers in an ICE Gulag.
Now South Korean investments and factory construction, training USA workers and technology transfer is somewhat frozen.
Possibly semiconductor engineers from Taiwan, Japanese manufacturing engineers involved in USA projects might be hesitant?
Contracts with ICE Gulag compensation bonus and free counseling becoming a thing?

Then enact measures that would have American companies closing existing factories, not old rust belt tech, but the new technologies.
The 1600 workers gone at Ford due to Mango Mussolini.

Even Kentucky whisky producers have to take a break due to Trumps assaults on its closest neighbor and (once)ally.
A much needed windfarm that will deliver electricity at lower cost all that latest engineering tech, no work for you.

Autoworkers union have bipolar disorder.
Locally their local rep may fight to get a worker who called Trump a protector of pdfs reinstated.

Obama against GOP protest supported their factories in GFC to keep 'their' jobs.
Biden enraged Elon by only inviting car companies that complied with choice of workers to join a union, safety standards and such.
Elon is infamous for having days where guards come off and long debilitating shifts worked in 'production pushes'.
Elon also bans independent or Government inspectors to factories and tie up workers who suffer major injuries in NDA's and threats.
Elon Musk, Peter Thiel huge Trump sponsors are very much anti union, pro Oligarchy.

While Autoworkers big boss exalts workers to vote Trump, and Union as a whole endorse him!
Clean Coal.
I expect that for workers on a literal coalface and their families its just got dirtier, more dangerous, and recompense lacking.
Who knew the Trump Oligarchy would be good for workers. :-)

Americans have made acting against your own self interest into an art, they truly want to live the fictional dystopia.

As ACT and National look across the ocean and lick their chops, wow can we get a piece of that here.

American motor companies made so many bad decisions over the years that I'm not at all surprised people are inclined to blame Ford before blaming Trump.

According to the article, 64% of that county voted for Trump in the last election. In that environment people probably won't blame Trump out loud. Voting is what counts. Trump will lose votes there for many reasons.

F150 Lightning was a great vehicle and outsold the Cybertruck. Ford initially had problems meeting demand. Withdrawing the consumer subsidy was a bad decision and will put the American transition and American technology development behind the rest of the world yet again. That said, unlike Ford - American companies like Rivian are continuing electric pickup truck production.

No, you are 100% incorrect on that. I wonder where you might have seen an endorsement.

There are no endorsements of Trump for President from any major autoworkers union. Zero. The UAW Union President Shawn Fein has publicly supported some of Trump's auto-related tariffs but definitely has not endorsed Trump for President and neither has the UAW.

In fact - Fein and the UAW continue to criticise Trump severely for the economic effects of unpredictable tariffs and the many cost of living increases for ordinary people.

The NY Times - Trump Administration Erases the Government’s Power to Fight Climate Change

Feb. 12, 2026

President Trump on Thursday announced he was erasing the scientific finding that climate change endangers human health and the environment, ending the federal government’s legal authority to control the pollution that is dangerously heating the planet.

The action is a key step in removing limits on carbon dioxide, methane and four other greenhouse gases that scientists say are supercharging heat waves, droughts, wildfires and other extreme weather.

Led by a president who refers to climate change as a “hoax,” the administration is essentially saying that the vast majority of scientists around the world are wrong and that a hotter planet is not the menace that decades of research shows it to be.

If Trump doesn't kill us quickly with a nuclear war, he will kill us slowly by destroying our environment. He will die a very wealthy man, at our expense.

President Trump has become so politically toxic that voters now say Joe Biden — whose unpopularity forced him into early retirement — did a better job as president, according to three new polls.

No major surprises here. Sure, Biden had his issues - but my assessment is at least he tried to be a president for everyone, not just the Democratic base. He even signed a bill into law that would benefit red states. Of course he didn't get any thanks or gratitude for it 🙄

Trump administration says it will end vehicle stop-start technology because everyone hates it:

https://www.whsv.com/2026/02/13/epa-ends-credits-automatic-start-stop-vehicle-ignition-feature-zeldin-says-everyone-hates/

In reality it is an attempt by America manufacturers to meet fuel economy standards and may save between 5-10% in fuel. I gather early American implementations were not great but current implementations are probably ok. This action will not change that. lt's just a weak non-sensical excuse to end an emissions credit.
