After a rough week in the polls, Donald Trump’s net approval rating is back down to its second term low of -15.0. The share of Americans who approve of the job he’s doing also hit a second term low of 40.5 percent.

 

Those numbers mean that Trump is now slightly less popular than Joe Biden was at this point in his first term (-11.5 net approval) and less popular than himself during term one (-12.0 net approval).

 

Although it's probably not a "record" he wants 🤔

 

 

 

 

In other news over 40% of Americans think Trump is doing a good job. Or in other words, the US is done.

You will save a number the 'secret' lobbyists with access cards to my office said.
(Thank goodness we did not pass a tougher lobbyist code of practice, no matter these are secret).

 

Later, more or less or never, inflation, cost overruns. You get a discount off whatever, its small too. 

 

Lobbyists also put up 'strawman' competition 'for the win' , Diesel, Coal, Biomass.
No mention of various storage including pumped, mixed with Solar, Geothermal (We used to lead on tech here), Wind, etc.

 

Your electricity provider will pay a surcharge/tax now for our 1 Billion ish, that might be 2.7B that might be more LNG.

 

Reporters ask, So electricity consumers will be paying extra? How much, how long.

 

Luxon projecting his inner Trump, NO providers pay, repeat question repeat Trumpy MAGA answer.

 

Sooo Luxon is going MAGA on us, taking lessons from Mango Mussolini.

 

Like Trump talks of sending out cheques at some undefined future time.

 

You pay now in Tariffs, and your Health Insurance, etc, the cheque, it won't make a dent.
I bought this ballroom and gilding on every surface of the Whitehouse for you, instead, so maybe its a smaller cheque.

I'd agree.

Luxon is being influenced by corporate lobbyists. Energy policy seems to favour fossil fuels over renewables.

Contrary to standard microeconomic theory, the government claims companies will bear costs when, of course, consumers will pay through higher power bills.

Luxon is using Trump-like messaging tactics. A mantra of simple repetition, deflection and, let's be frank, lies about future financial relief.

Still I'd have Luxon over Trump any day.

Though pretty different events, ocean versus river, the amount of sewage spilled is pretty similar, though much quicker in the US.

From phys.org "264 million US gallons (one billion liters) untreated sewage have since flowed onto the coast” since the plant went offline

In a Wednesday post on the social platform X, Moore wrote, “The President is lying to the public.”

He said the pipe that broke, known as the Potomac Interceptor, is on federal land; that the federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) was invited to a hearing with updates from Maryland and DC Water and did not show up; and that Maryland officials were “onsite within hours of the leak to help coordinate the response and protect the public.”

The post is the latest in a series of barbs between Trump and Moore over the last several days related to the spill of 243 million gallons of sewage into the Potomac River.

This piece looks at the top 5 lies (and there are plenty of them!) she told during her tenure.

 

Depressingly, she'll probably be replaced with yet another puppet who just says what they're told to say by the boss. Either that, or a former (or current?) Fox News host. They seem to be "a dime a dozen" in his administration 🙄
