While I'm here, there seems to be a pattern with Republican presidents (Kuwait/Gulf War, Iraq/Afghanistan, and now Venezuela/Iran):

and meet Kristi Noem's replacement:

So much for "Only the best people" 🙄

The NY Times - ‘Cheap’ and ‘Appalling’: Trump’s Ballroom Plans Receive a Flood of Negative Comments

03 March 2026

“Gaudy and cheap.” “Monolithic.” “Appalling.”

A flood of messages from across the country has poured into the National Capital Planning Commission, which is holding a public comment period before its vote on Thursday about whether to move forward with President Trump’s 90,000-square-foot ballroom project.

The commission has received about 32,000 comments in all. Suffice it to say: Many people are not happy with what Mr. Trump is doing to the White House. ...

An overwhelming majority of the comments, more than 98 percent, are negative, according to an analysis by The New York Times, which used an artificial intelligence model to classify each comment’s view.

Only around 1 percent of the comments supported the project. ...

EDIT

*  Critics also likened the design to "a brothel" and a "Vegas casino’".

Robert Sapolsky

Radio NZ - Neurobiologist: Science says it's not okay for me to hate Donald Trump

07 March 2026

Given his "awful upbringing", it's no wonder the American president became such a destructive person, says Robert Sapolsky. ...

"I spent a lot of the last 10 years now having to think through why it's not okay for me to hate Donald Trump. He had an awful upbringing. His father was a nightmare. His mother was ice-cold. He spent his whole life having to pay people to pretend that they love him. No wonder he turned out this way.

"Does that mean you shouldn't be very activated in trying to keep him from doing what he's doing to destroy our democracy? No. He sure as hell needs to be stopped, but he had nothing to do with it. Putin had nothing to do with it … but you recognise, nonetheless, they turned out to be very, very damaging people."

A very charitable view, in my opinion.  😟

Right up there with Mr "I'm-wealthy-I'm-sorted" 🙄

Such an idiot. I guess he really doesn't care about winning anything in the midterms (which are gradually getting closer).

The man who can't close an umbrella thinks he can run a country like Iran. The mind boggles.

Is this just random MAGA stupidity?

Or does Trump actually want the USA to be attacked, giving Trump the excuse to cancel the mid-term elections and consolidate his dictatorship?

Donald "bone spur" Trump: "These ships should go through the strait of Hormuz and show some guts, there's nothing to be afraid of..."

To convince the world of the safety, perhaps Baron Trump could join the merchant mariners as a Ordinary Seaman.

Ordinary Seaman duties are mostly outdoors with plenty of space, so being tall is not a problem.

If Donald J Trump was the measure against which we set attainment of AGI for Ai.
This would have been done and dusted with version 0.1.

Yes MAGA love Trump as he makes them feel super smart.

Trump promised to indemnify shippers against losses, I expect like most Trump promises it has not happened.
Trump an expert on escorts (Purple Heart for VD resistance), but not the kind ships need to traverse these narrow waters.

US Navy is keeping a very very very good distance.
They know what Ukraine did when it did not have a Navy.

That's assuming, of course, that he likes the kid. Or anyone else for that matter.

quickymart: Draft Barron Trump

I wonder if the site creator will be targetted by the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI, and added to "no fly list" as domestic terrorists.

Just in case there's a Minneapolis misinterpretation, they might want to wear a bullet proof vest and a helmet while driving. The helmet would protect them from being pistol whipped on the head while laying prone on the sidewalk.
