Sensational. If this carries on, hopefully republicans are in for a shellacking in the midterms 🀞

Maybe they'll stop being so cowardly/arrogant then and a few of them will start to grow a spine.

Trump said the war is terminated, but he is prepared to go hard military. The link is gone now, was on Stuff

Irans new 14 point deal includes all US troops leave the region. That tells me that Iran is calling the bluff

Iran's nuclear efforts, others will know more than me, please enlighten me.

They say they want nuclear for power generation. But the 400kg of highly enriched uranium is massively more than is needed for power generation.

If they could agree to no nukes, (would require assessment by IAEA or other authorities) but they can use it for power generation, and they can have their own missiles etc, that could be an option, as long as the "agreement" was with them and the Middle East neighbours. Possibly include EU and UK. "If" that worked, Trump will bail as it doesnt include him winning yet another war. In my mind, and based on that many Middle East countries had a detente relationship with Iran (we dont see eye to eye but lets keep the peace), it seems do-able. But Trump is the thorn in the side.

Like Melania asking for sanctions on Jimmy Kimmel for his joke this week.

What happened to "F--K YOUR FEELINGS"?

Ah, right. It's only one way, with MAGAturds.

Bit late on this one, sorry, but I thought this was relevant:

So, like the deal signed by Obama, cancelled by Trump, then?

Yes. Iran is no angel, but more angelic than Trump and Netanyahu. There is a lot of scope IMO to have a peaceful co existence in the region. Essentially what it was before Trump and Netanyahu.

No nukes but monitoring. Remove sanctions. Peace. Sounds easy if you say it fast, but as far as I know Iran hasn't been attacking the region, USA and Israel have been, they started this mess, for ego reasons and Netanyahu reasons. I believe Israel isnt well liked by most in the region? While Netanyahu had a problematic relationship with Trump, he learnt fast. Excessive praise works with narcissists.

Donald Trump: For the good of Iran, the Middle East, and the United States, we have told these Countries that we will guide their Ships safely out of these restricted Waterways, so that they can freely and ably get on with their business. Again, these are Ships from areas of the World that are not in any way involved with that which is currently taking place in the Middle East.

I have told my Representatives to inform them that we will use best efforts to get their Ships and Crews safely out of the Strait. In all cases, they said they will not be returning until the area becomes safe for navigation, and everything else.

This process, Project Freedom, will begin Monday morning, Middle East time. I am fully aware that my Representatives are having very positive discussions with the Country of Iran, and that these discussions could lead to something very positive for all. The Ship movement is merely meant to free up people, companies, and Countries that have done absolutely nothing wrong β€” They are victims of circumstance.

Iran's reply:

Trump's full message above does mention positive talks but as the world knows by now that means Trump had some positive talks with himself. This could be very ugly.

Once again Mr Trump has found a new way to risk lives at no cost to himself. I assume as in a previous Trump plan he's found a way to underwrite maritime insurance or is providing some other incentive for the ship owners and employers to tell those vessels to move. There is nothing humanitarian about forcing seafarers to transit a war zone with getting paid for potentially months of work all conditional on that.
