It seems like the MAGA losers are already lining up in the expectation of getting something from this ridiculous slush fund (not just the Proud Boys):

https://abcnews.com/US/trump-allies-jan-6-defendants-lining-apply-17/story?id=133202234

Sitting in his car outside a campaign event in Minnesota as he runs for governor, My Pillow CEO and Trump ally Mike Lindell told ABC News he hopes his company employees receive millions from the fund for what he believes is the weaponization of the Biden administration against him for his actions after the 2020 election.

Lindell -- one of the leading proponents of 2020 election fraud claims -- told ABC News that third-party auditors estimate his company and employees lost $400 million for the election-related lawsuits and government investigations that followed the election. While Lindell said he personally does not expect to get any money from the fund, he said he hopes his employees -- who own a stake of My Pillow -- can apply for compensation.

"I was glad to see it might be a faster way to get my employees that all were hurt -- some of them lost everything -- and so I think it's a real good thing for everybody," Lindell said. "When a government goes after and damages people in all these programs ... this is set up to help people in need, but our government did it to them."

I hope for two things - 1, that this obvious misuse of taxpayer money doesn't go ahead, and 2, all the election fraud clowns and January 6 thugs don't receive a cent.

If I was an American taxpayer and this is the drivel the orange buffoon is choosing to prioritise over everything else, I'd be absolutely livid 😠

This has to be challenged in the courts, starting with a 'Stay' and of course this  Trump and his sons ‘forever’ exempt from tax audits under IRS addendum which is one of the greatest government rip-offs in American history. It all has to be done before a penny is paid.

Come on Democrats get a spine.

Oh, well. At least she (apparently) resigned, as opposed to being fired for disagreeing with Trump, right? 🤔

Colbert's exit was gracious and good humoured. A joyous celebration of the show's history. No digs or cheap shots. What a difference from the petty, vindictive, stupid man who thinks he won something.

Right. And this is from a 79-year-old guy, who's supposed to be the president. So presidential 🙄

Can you imagine if Biden (for example) had done something similar about, say, Charlie Kirk? Christ, Fox News would have had a week-long meltdown over it. But it's the orange buffoon, so I guess anything goes, right? 🙄

https://edition.cnn.com/2026/05/23/middleeast/iran-us-progress-framework-diplomacy-intl

President Donald Trump said Saturday that a broader agreement between the United States and Iran has been “largely negotiated” and that the Strait of Hormuz would be reopened, signaling potental momentum toward ending the monthslong war.

“An Agreement has been largely negotiated, subject to finalization between the United States of America, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the various other Countries,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Stop me if you've heard this befo...oh wait, we have heard this before...how many umpteen times is it now? Either this or it's happening "soon" 🙄

Does this clown have any idea what he's doing???

Problem with the orange buffoon making an announcement like this is I honestly have no idea who to believe.

Still begs the question as to who Trump's team is negotiating with; representatives of the actual Iranian regime or another group purporting to represent the regime, or is Trump hallucinating.

We just don't have any reliable info. Commentary from Trump requires many grains of salt.

As much as I'd like to see things calm down in the Gulf region with some sort of stability and certainty return to oil supplies from that area, the way I see it, the Supreme Leader is unlikely to want any deal with the USA, aka The Great Satan, unless that deal results in the elimination of the USA, and perhaps a chunk of the West / USA allies.

If/When an agreement is eventually negotiated, I just hope someone from the Pakistan mediation team picks up the Nobel peace prize.  That will be hilarious

The Guardian - US and Iran inch closer to peace deal as Trump faces criticism from GOP hawks

25 May 2026

Donald Trump defended himself against criticism from fellow Republicans on Sunday as he appeared on the verge of agreeing a deal with Iran to end the war.

As hawks in his party called the proposed agreement a disaster and questioned why the US president had launched the conflict in the first place, Trump claimed on social media that his deal would be “THE EXACT OPPOSITE” of the one agreed by Barack Obama, which Trump pulled out of in 2018. ...

Facing mounting criticism from inside his own party, Trump insisted: “I don’t make bad deals!

Some unintentional humour from The failing Don.  🙃

Trump is the champion of institutional erosion and norm‑breaking. His inner circle attracts damaged individuals wanting power through systemic corruption.

I haven't seen any article comparing the grimdark fantasy Joe Abercrombie’s First Law trilogy to the Trump regime, but it may be apt.

Abercrombie’s world is systemically bleak, with every institution corrupt and every character morally compromised.

Abercrombie’s stories raise interesting questions:

What happens when institutions fail?

How power operates without accountability?

Why people support flawed leaders?

In other words "Winner, winner, bones for dinner."
