AlterNet - Trump fuels mental health speculation

May 25, 2026

Speaking with AlterNet earlier this month, Dr. Henry Abraham - an emeritus professor of psychiatry at Tufts University who led a group of 36 top physicians and mental health experts that issued a public statement to Congress warning about Trump’s mental state - explained how Trump appears to exhibit symptoms consistent with cognitive decline.

The group argued in its statement that Trump’s “mental instability, coupled with his sole, unchecked authority to launch nuclear weapons, makes him a clear and present danger to the safety of all Americans.”

Because they have not personally treated the president, they did not officially diagnose him, but offered instead a detailed description of his publicly-exhibited symptoms including “bizarre and impulsive behavior, rambling digressions, factual confusions, unexplained sudden changes of course in strategic matters, both national and international, and his deeply impaired judgment.” ...

Abraham told AlterNet that “there has been a frightening progression of symptoms. These include grandiosity without moral safeguards, paranoia, impulsivity, vindictiveness, easy misperception of being harmed, moments of omnipotence, uncontrolled rage, and sole control over the use of nuclear weapons in a time of war.”

He concluded, “As a psychiatrist reviewing these, I can only say Yikes!

How heartbroken Don Jr must be knowing he's the only kid his dad won't go to an island for.

The NY Times - Trump’s Self-Indulgence Deepens G.O.P. Fears in Midterms

25 May 2026

The stupid stuff is killing our chances,” said a retiring Republican senator.

A little more than five months ahead of the midterm elections, President Trump seems to be focused on virtually anything other than keeping Republican control of Congress. ...

For many, a new jaw-dropper came last week when Mr. Trump created a $1.8 billion fund to pay people who say they have been victims of “weaponization and lawfare,” including those who attacked the Capitol and law enforcement officers there, on Jan. 6, 2021.

Incensed Senate Republicans, many of whom lived through that day, were vexed by a president who appears set on pursuing his personal priorities ahead of the November midterm elections, even if doing so undermines his own party.

They angrily abandoned Washington on Thursday without funding the president’s immigration crackdown or the $1 billion he wants for his ballroom.

AlterNet - The DOJ Just Deleted the Entire Paper Trail of January 6th

26 May 2026

History doesn’t repeat itself, but apparently it can be deleted.

The Justice Department has admitted to removing from its website all news releases about criminal cases related to the January 6th, 2021 insurrection, including charges, convictions, and sentencings. It defended the deletion by calling the prosecutorial record “partisan propaganda.”

Not archived. Not reclassified. Deleted, and then, when a journalist noticed, the DOJ’s rapid response account said there was “nothing quiet about it” and announced the department was proud to have done so.

Among the records scrubbed were those concerning seditious conspiracy cases against the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers. The DOJ had already moved to vacate those convictions and dismiss the cases. Now the documentation that the prosecutions ever existed is gone too.

The DOJ recently announced a multi-billion fund to compensate Trump allies who feel they were unjustly investigated and prosecuted, and the acting attorney general has not ruled out that rioters convicted of violence will be eligible for payouts.

Turns out storming the Capitol was an investment.

Saw this story this morning too - Democrats who are being targeted by Trump could be up for compensation: https://edition.cnn.com/2026/05/26/politics/targets-of-trump-retribution-slam-fund

I was thinking last night about this stupid slush fund of his, and if it actually happens (which I hope it doesn't) - wouldn't Hunter Biden be in line for something? After all, the orange buffoon went after him like there was no tomorrow...one might say that was "weaponisation", right? 🤔

Oh yes, people like Biden and Comey have to use this. Forcing the Republicans to put a line in the sand and explain why someone who assaulted police, took a crap on a congressperson's desk and then stole their coffee mug should get compensation but ... I don't even know what BS they were after Biden for ... owning a gun? Isn't that like mandatory for all Americans? ... Whatever - you get my point. Force them to justify it, while also saying it should not exist.

Trump’s visit to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center will be the third time he’s visited the facility for a medical exam since becoming the oldest president ever inaugurated last year.

Donald do more of this, but closer to US mid terms, 3 November this year, about 160 days away. Preferably about 2 weeks before, start signing those checks

Ex-Proud Boys leader Enrique Tarrio tells PBS News he believes he's owed tens of millions from DOJ fund : PBS

The former leader of the Proud Boys, an extremist, far-right group that played a major role in the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, says he's "excited" about the announcement of a $1.776 billion fund for people who believe they are victims of the justice system.

Enrique Tarrio told PBS News that acting Attorney General Todd Blanche is doing an "amazing job" and that, between his commuted sentence last year and potential compensation under the fund, he feels like he is finally getting the justice he deserves.

Following the Department of Justice announcement of the "anti-weaponization" fund Monday, PBS News spoke with several Jan. 6 defendants, including Tarrio, who had one of the highest-profile convictions in the agency's large-scale investigation into the Jan. 6, 2021, attack.
...

Make sure you hold up at least one giant check, like this novelty check being held by Jeffrey Epstein signed "DJ Trump". Maybe to the January 6th guy beating the cop with the inverted American Flag on a flag pole

There's nothing more regal and presidential than hosting a cage fighting event at the White House.

Equipment being placed on the South Lawn of the White House is seen from the Washington Monument The UFC is holding a mixed martial arts fight on June 14 as part of America 250 celebrations.
