Vague drone plot against the presidential UFC spectacle by a relatively conservative sounding bunch of anti-corruption Christian and ex-military calling themselves "Vanguard Of The Old":

https://www.forbes.com/sites/zacharyfolk/2026/06/16/alleged-ufc-plotters-were-angry-about-epstein-files-affidavit-says/

Plot summary: Crash drones into the UFC ring, snipe fleeing politicians from rooftops, cause a civil war, reform the USA. In what form isn't clear.

geek3001:

PBS says that the Reflecting Pool cost up to $14 million to clean up.

Now this post https://x.com/bkovoDC/status/2066836681693565058 claims that workers are pouring bottles of hydrogen peroxide into the pool to try to keep the new water clean.

They could have saved all that money and just chemically treated the previous water, as they will obviously need to keep doing that going forward.

Obviously this image is AI (at least, I hope it is), but given how flaky RFK Jr is with anyone's health - including his own, him doing this honestly wouldn't surprise me:

May be an image of drink and algae

Oh Florida, you so crazy!

Of course, it's Trump's stomping grounds.

MAGA Star Mocked Over Embarrassing Typo at Literacy Event: Daily BEast

MAGA Rep. Byron Donalds is drawing mockery after an embarrassing spelling error undermined his speech on the importance of literacy.

The 47-year-old congressman, who is running for Florida governor, unveiled his “Read to Succeed” plan to boost childhood literacy in the state on Saturday, declaring from a podium, “Our kids have to be prepared to hit the ground running on day one, and being able to master reading is at the core of that.”

Unfortunately for Donalds, the podium he was standing behind carried an ironic typo, reading, “Read to succeed; achieveability”—misspelling the word “achievability.”
...
After a failed congressional campaign in 2012 as part of the Tea Party movement, Donalds was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2016. He successfully ran for Congress in 2020, when he was elected to represent Florida’s 19th district after describing himself as a “Trump-supporting, gun-owning, liberty-loving, pro-life, politically incorrect Black man” during the campaign.

in California adults 21+ can legally possess, buy, use, and grow cannabis in California. Obviously the state sets clear limits on how much, where, and how you can use it.

How does this tie to Donald "they keep testing my brains .. because I are smart" Trump?

Let's explore together, in which high Californian takes the cognitive tests that Trump trumpets.

Jimmy Kimmel "high Q"

"We sent a camera to a local cannabis shop in Hollywood to see if customers could pass the same cognitive test Trump has been bragging about."

kingdragonfly:

We really need stronger English words than "tacky", "classless", "vulgar", "gaudy" for Trump.

It is an unfortunate side effect that dramatic words loose their effect over time. An example is that the Battle of the Somme was described as a shambles, at that time it meant a slaughter house, an abattoir, trying to describe the bloody butchering of a generation of young men. But now it just means that Timmy has not tidied his room.

I was recently listening to a chap talk on the phone while I was on a train. Every second word was either f*ck or sh*t depending on whether he needed and adverb or adjective. I expect he thought he was a hard man, a real mafioso. Instead he was just a hard man to understand because his repetitive drum beat assault on the English language completely drowned what he was trying to say.

Rather than go for stronger words, go for memorable phrases that resonate, Nate White is in the class of Oscar Wilde with his put downs.

Rather than a successful business man ( he just played one on TV ) he is just a dreadful hotelier more like Thénardier than Basil Faulty

From the original French Les Mis ...

Baron of Thénard, small in nobility
Great by his vileness and noble in his pettiness
Ideal despot, conjugal lord, prince of knaves, tyrant of the cash-box
That a contrary destiny has planted in this district
When I need the entire world to satisfy my ambitions

AlterNet - Trump’s 'demented' speech torn apart by critics as officials look on 'aimlessly'

17 June 2026

President Donald Trump had a press conference at the G7 in France, where he appeared to be rambling to such a degree that MS NOW cut from the press conference to refer to him as "incoherent." ...

Trump acknowledged that they would be releasing money to Iran ...

"The unfreezing, that's the easy one to answer. We have taken a lot of their money. And we have their money. We have taken a lot of their money. It's not our money. It's their money. And we froze it. At a certain point in time, I guess we're gonna have to give it back. You know that if we didn't give it back, nobody would ever invest in the dollar again."

"Drugs are down by water 97 percent. And over 60 percent we're down. And now we're going to go and focus on the land. And they come through Mexico. Mexico has lost control of their country. The cartels run Mexico. And it's sad. And the president is a very good woman, but she's a very scared woman. The drug cartels are totally running Mexico. It's not even close."

He then swatted at a fly, saying, "I wanted to get that little sucker. But I missed. I hate missing."

Literally ... demented  😟

I have created a MOU 2026 USA Iran thread. This will obviously contain Trump content. To me, its a new stage in this specific issue

Well I was tempted to say Trump is most comfortable spending other people's money, but he indeed put 6 significant sanctions against Iran as President.

He even santioned Ayatollah Ali Khamenei personally, and yeah, both men deserve each other.

For the Ayatollah at least you could argue that turning him and four relatives into strawberry jam by Trump and Netanyahu, maybe it's time for the jerk's final distribution to his beneficiaries.

I wouldn't attribute the santions to foresight, because we know Donald "the algae returned" Trump record on project planning.

It's about time to start taking bets on how long it is before Demented Donnie is stood down from being POTUS. There must come a time when those around him decide that he is too much of a liability for them, for their careers and for their fortunes.

At the moment, people like you're describing are very much in the minority in the Republican Party, sadly - they're far too busy throwing themselves at him and kissing his robes so they can stay in his good graces for as long as possible.

RawStory - Trump praises comparison of himself to 'Hitler, Mao, and Stalin': 'Sounds good to me!'

18 June 2026

President Donald Trump took to his Truth Social platform Thursday to praise a comparison of himself to murderous 20th-century dictators.

The president posted a lengthy quote from a supposed "presidential historian" which compared historic “powerful” people ...

Common names that would come to mind are Alexander the Great, the Caesars, Genghis Khan, Attila the Hun, Tamburlaine, Napoleon and, more recently, Hitler, Mao, and Stalin.

Ultimately, he said, Trump has a power advantage over all of them because of his "global reach."

"Their power was limited to restricted local areas."

"They had nowhere near the control over modern logistics, manpower, technology, and the global economic muscle that President Trump can enforce.”

Trump didn't appear at all offended by the comparison.

On the contrary, he shared the write-up with the words, "Presidential Historian Dave King* - Sounds good to me!"

*  There is a historian at Harvard called David King, but there is no evidence that this letter was sent by him.

Four out of five living presidents, except the current horror show leader, attended the Obama Presidential Library opening (with a beautiful photo of all of them together):

Saw a bit of that on CNN this morning, Stevie Wonder was performing and talking. Smiles everywhere. When you get normal people they talk and get along. If you have abnormals like Trump, Putin, Netanyahu you get a hotpot of evil

And the (replica) Oval Office looks ... normal. Not full of all that hideous tacky gold rubbish Trump fills every square centimetre with.
