I'd be devastated if that happened (!)

True, a simple hanging is far less than the justice he deserves.

He'll never face the justice he deserves in this life. But if there is truly an afterlife, I know exactly where he is going.

freitasm:

Netanyahu is pissing off the Catholic Church now.

"As a result, and for the first time in centuries, the Heads of the Church were prevented from celebrating the Palm Sunday Mass at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre."

https://www.custodia.org/it/news/joint-press-release-the-latin-patriarchate-of-jerusalem-and-the-custody-of-the-holy-land/

Note: as usual I'm an Atheist, so I don't having a stake in the game, though I'm not fully neutral.

The Church of the Holy Sepulchre is arguably Christianity’s holiest site.

The occasion, Palm Sunday leading into Easter, is one of the most important dates in the Christian calendar.

The person blocked, Pierbattista Pizzaballa, is the highest Catholic authority in the region.

Access to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre has been only been disrupted by wars and sieges like Crusades, Ottoman conflicts, and plagues and pandemics

It may be the first time in at least a century this specific situation occurred.

The church operates under a long-standing arrangement called the "status quo", dating back to Ottoman rule

Even the Ottomans and British generally tried not to interfere with clergy access, especially for major religious observances. This restriction cuts across that long-standing practice.

This is bad news.

Trump threatened to stop weapons for Ukraine unless Europe joined Hormuz coalition

I suggest that Europe needs to say they are not going to do anything to help Straits of TrumpHormuz until Israel and US stop bombing Iran. Israel and US are the aggressors and Iran's actions are a direct response to that.

Europe must not get involved when mad men are on both sides.

Alternatively Europe should use the UN like it is supposed to be used and get a resolution through that, if Trump vetoes that then it again shows that he is the problem.

Can we get to the point where Trump threatens to hold his breath until someone rescues him for his consequences of his own actions?

Every time I tune into one of these live Trump announcements I wonder why I bother. He just rambles interminably. What on earth is the point of this address?

The US doesn't need oil that comes through the Strait of Ormuz. They have so much oil. Therefore other countries should clear/defend the strait.

For these countries, I have a suggestion

1. Buy oil from USA
2. Buildup and go to the strait, take it, protect it.

In other words, I didn't finish the shitshow I started, so now I will leave to everyone else to cleanup, as I always did.

Don't worry folks, they have the nuclear dust under intense satellite, and we will hit them with the biggest missiles, they won't even know.

More like a bad attempt at brainwashing than a speech.

America has so much oil and it doesn't need Hormuz apparently.

And upon arrival there, he will require removal of the current boss, and then want total control of the place.

Remarkably, Trump barely acknowledged the economic consequences of his war.

Presumably, if you're a billionaire wasting other people's money, it just doesn't matter.   😎

AlterNet - On Trump's rambling war speech - and four bizarre moments that left viewers confused

01 April 2026

1. Trump castigates “mass murdering” Iran regime after blowing up an occupied girls’ school

2. Trump insists U.S. was ‘dead and crippled’ under Biden as his nation hurtles toward its worst economy in years

3. Trump advises other nations to ‘cherish’ the Strait of Hormuz and clean his mess

4. Trump claims the world ‘can't believe the power, strength and brilliance’ of his military as Americans grumble
