This is pretty off-topic. There's plenty to talk about WRT to the Kiwibuild targets, state building programs, etc.

Agree. As you know I last supported the Coalition, but I have no time for extreme lefties or righties, promoting their wares. The thread I believe is "Kiwibuild Targets Scrapped"

Please tell me what is so extreme about wanting equality?

This government is at least doing something about the housing crisis, give them credit, at least they trying. National did nothing except cater for the rich, so even if Labour fails to deliver on some of its promises it has still done a lot more and has at least put some wheels in motion. Lessons have been learned, the targets have been re calibrated and there will be new goals coming into place. Goals which National was not interested in even making/entertaining. This government is doing a brilliant job as as mentioned previously has only been in for 1 1/2 years? What are you expecting after such a short period? The end of the housing crisis? Nationals mess is going to take years to fix.

If you think my views are extreme well that's your opinion. And you entitled to it.

You are making stuff up again. I don't recall any mention by me of having no interest in equality, I mentioned "extreme lefties or righties, promoting their wares"

You really need to up your comprehension.

Your view on your second last paragraph is not extreme, but you frequently mention communist, socialist views, which are, and your name calling , re fascist as but one example.

Focus on the subject

I apologize, but this is a political thread is it not? How are we meant to discuss things without mentioning out views? I'm confused. We all have political views and chances are we are all on different sides of the politicel spectrum

By the way, I detest facists, and yes I will call them out for it. If that offends you then I apologize again.

I seriously doubt you have any idea what a fascist is. I do not support National and it is unlikely I ever will. I don't like a lot of their policies and priorities. I don't like some of their leading figures, at least their public personas. But none of them are anything close to fascist, and your use of that term about them is offensive, incorrect, and dishonest. Talk less and listen more and you might have something worthwhile to say.

There are some people who were part of the last government who I believe are fascist, that's my personal belief, and the further right they are the more facist they get. See the ACT party.

I agree that National is not a fascist party and has no fascist policies. Apologies if I made it out to be. I do however believe some National MP's are fascist, and most fascist racists in NZ will end up voting for national because its all they have got on the right. Yes I know what a fascist is. My guess is that most of the skin heads from the south vote either National or ACT. This is my view, and you welcome to change my mind. I would love to be proved wrong, until then I stand by that view.

Anyone who thinks ACT is fascist, or fascist-leaning, is both ignorant and an idiot.

ACT is a right-wing party with libertarian leanings. It believes in individual freedom and minimum government.

Fascism is the polar opposite of this. Fascists believe in maximum government that controls every aspect of the lives of its citizens, whose sole purpose in existing is to serve the State. There is no room for individuality at all. Nothing could be further from the ACT party. You are just braying your ignorance. Go read a book.

So maybe instead of the name calling you could come up with some good arguments to convince me that I am wrong.

ACT is really not very different to the American republican party.

Is Donald Trump a fascist? I believe he is, so be careful how you answer this one. There are politicians in NZ that I would conciser to be further to the right than Agent Orange himself.

Since you don't know what a fascist is, or a Republican, there isn't much to argue about.

You are loud, opinionated, and ill-informed, and that is why people don't want to engage with you. I am joining them.

So is the Darth Hater a facsist or not? Its a simple question really. You will see where I am going with this once you answer the question.

@freitasm: This isn't my thread but it has pretty much been hijacked and ruined for others. You might want to consider locking it.

Agree. although its still a valid topic. Godwin's is probably not far away. I'd like it to continue for participants who can read the thread title

I tried to continue, even apologized, but it all got ignored. Some people here just seem to focus on some of my views from a totally different thread. I'm still new to this forum so I am trying to figure things out. I was not the one to derail it..... go back and check. If anything all I did was stand up for the current government.

What exactly are you guys here proposing is not discussed? It seems you not interested in discussing politics or the current government so I therefore have to question the object of this thread in the first place.

Why did you bring the fascist conversation into this thread then? There was no reason for that. I admit I should have not brought her pregnancy/family into it, but at the time I thought it was a valid reason in the PM's defense.
