I was wondering who would run this Youtube Channel, as it's sure to ire the Chinese.

It's the religious cult / sect "Falun Gong"

They are pseudo-science anti-vaxxers.

So just be aware they are biased against China and vaccines in general.

Yeh, one does have to look at inherent biases of sources, fortunately there are multiple sources for indications of SARS-Cov2 in China.
Of course looking at CCP controlled news where its a serious offence to question official numbers.
They are not going to speculate on how many zeros you should add to official China statistics.

It was distressing to see that a number of HK activists have gone down the whole Trumpy line as rest of world was seeming not to care.
Trump of course never cared, and sells everyone out. I understood why though.

ADVChina, serpentza, laowhy86 youtube channels are more grounded.
While they might bring up the LAB thing.
Having worked teaching English to doctors ( One married a doctor ).
Experienced very lax procedures in big city hospitals in their 10Y or so in China.
We had the guy doing supposed anti AIDS genetic engineering on Humans.
Their confidence in a BSL4 lab in same environment, but really its in the environment so much anyway, we just lack field testing.

This stuff is pretty borderline esp if without evidence but it's in the herald and some of the funding and research support (scientists) did actually came from the US so it's not all made up either. Could easily put it under a USA wants to be lovable thread.

Yeh you need a virologist who works in BSL labs doing experiments to put this in context.

Situation in China was already difficult, open scientific study is not so possible in a closed political environment.
Now due to China stopping access have no idea what's going on in bat populations in China.
Sampling Cane Rats, Civets, and Racoon Dogs and other China bush meat zip... nada... nothing...

I doubt that scientists sampling bat and bush meat populations are popular anywhere, but it least its possible.

I think it's nothing like that. Legislation has been introduced into the people's congress a couple of times and has not progressed much there. On the plus side China no longer requires animal testing for some cosmetic products.

You'll note the article states the response worker was reprimanded and reassigned. This could indicate a change in process going forward.

Imo many countries now in EU only implemented this kind of legislation as a requirement of EU membership. Other countries around the world it's patchy too. It is good to progress this kind of legislation as it benefits human health and well being through better farming practice and hygiene.
