This has long turned into a peculiarly Green Party shaped circus. Now Tana is trying to stop the Greens punting her via the courts.
What a shambles.
It says more about the person than the Party.
While its hard to turn down 2/1/2 years of MP pay and perks, if you are as Honorable as you claim.
Much like Donna Awatere Huata, and ACT, later confirmed that not going honorably said a lot about her.

Former Act MP Donna Awatere Huata's fall from grace was completed today when she was jailed for two years and nine months for stealing from a Maori trust set up to help under-privileged children.

Supporters of the disgraced who want parties to turn a blind eye need to have a think about themselves too.
Injuncting the SGM is pretty funny.
This has gone beyong a stain on the Greens now so I'm just enjoying it for the villain arc.

“This morning in court, under instructions from Marama Davidson and I as co-leaders, and our party governing council, Kaunihera, our lawyer agreed to defer our planned Special General Meeting until the proceedings brought by Darleen Tana are concluded, following a substantive hearing on 12th September,” Swarbrick said.
“The Greens have no desire to be caught up in protracted legal proceedings and are doing everything we can to ensure things progress without undue delay.
“We will, unfortunately, not be able to confirm a new date until we are confident in the appropriate conclusion of legal proceedings.”
Presumably they will then have to give additional notice for the SGM to happen if at that point it is needed, so... mid-October? Almost a full 12 months.
The Greens then commissioned lawyer Rachel Burt to produce an independent report on what Tana knew about the allegations and when. Green said that process was “thrust upon” Tana without her consent, and was “preposterous”.
"Me being accountable for anything is contingent on me consenting to be held accountable" is something I should try with my next speeding ticket.
If I got tazed, I would deserve it.

Is that not one of the main concepts used by Sovereign Citizens for speeding tickets etc.

It's the same delusion - that ones rights outweighs ones social obligations.
Oh No! Tanas magic words didn't work in court.
Anyway...
I note the Greens haven't now immediately scheduled an SGM. From memory they need to give a month's notice.
There's a real chance this could drag on past the 1 year mark.
October 17th now for the Greens SGM.
Slowly slowly her doom is approaching.
Green Party delegates have overwhelmingly decided to use the Waka-Jumping law to eject Darleen Tana from Parliament if she decides not to quit first.
The former Green MP, who currently sits as an independent, had her future decided by party delegates in a late night “Special General Meeting” Zoom call on Thursday.
Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.
At long last. The Greens decided to use a completely unnecessary long and drawn out process to get rid of her when they could have just done this as soon as she quit the party.
Instead they dragged this out for months longer than needed to create a dog and pony show because of 'principles' and then still backflipped on their prinicpled stance opposing Waka Jumping laws in the first place.
