It's hard to tell what is reality and what is parody. This is not parody.

The Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) is a U.S. watchdog group

It says it has received hundreds of complaints from U.S. service members across many bases claiming that some commanders have been using Christian eschatological language.

In English commanders referencing Armageddon/End Times.

In case people don't know, some conservatives support Israel because the want a return to the Old Testament "Lands of King David" because it's one of the steps to the Amageddon / End Times.

Several Christians ranchers have stock of red cows, because it's another step to Amageddon. It's part of the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem, requiring the sacrifice of red heifers.

Again not a parody.

US troops were told Iran war 'anointed by Jesus' to bring on Armageddon, watchdog says: Middle East Eye

US commanders from every arm of the military have told their units that the war on Iran is “anointed by Jesus” and would bring about his return to Earth as part of the "Armageddon", resulting in scores of complaints from serving members of the military.

The Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), an organisation dedicated to ensuring that all members of the US military are guaranteed religious freedom, told Middle East Eye on Tuesday that it had received more than 200 similar complaints from personnel serving in the army, navy, air force, marine corps, and space force.

The complaints received by the MRFF, first reported by journalist Jonathan Larsen, have come from more than 40 units and span at least 30 military installations.

According to MRFF, one combat unit commander told non-commissioned officers (NCOs) at a briefing on Monday that the Israeli-US attacks on Iran are part of God’s "plan" and that US President Donald Trump was “anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth”.

A US NCO who wrote to the MRFF said their commander had told them the war with Iran was “all part of God’s divine plan”. The commander referred repeatedly to the Bible’s Book of Revelation and to Armageddon, the story about the battle between good and evil, in which Jesus triumphs and establishes a lasting peace on Earth.

The commander is quoted by the NCO as saying: “President Trump has been anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth.”

Kingdragonfly.

America seems to be full of stable geniuses.

""anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth""

Hegseth might transfer this guy to look after Nuclear forces, definitely right stuff.
No need for codes, just whenever you feel the time is right. Let Jesus guide you.

Every town is Jonestown.

On casualties,
While Hegseth was occupied with all the things that don't matter.
Erasing the acheivements of non white service members, women, and hunting for anything Woke to stir MAGA.

These troops just had just some concrete side blast protection probably not spec for powerful drones.
Unre-enforced roof for their operations center, and no warning.

Hegseths, Who knew you needed ......... planning.
Could have asked Ukraine about dealing with mass drone, missile attacks, but Trump no like Ukraine.

This terrifies me. If people really are thinking like this they could easily decide it is god's will to go nuclear. It really is the end of days.

These people are complete idioturds.

CIA working to arm Kurdish forces to spark uprising in Iran, sources say

First, the Kurds have been shafted twice already by the USA. Second, they would want support sure, but don't try to go to America after, as ICE will hunt you down.

And third, we know well how previous experiments worked. Supporting and arming the Afghan mujahideen during the Soviet occupation ended up with two bit NY city buildings on the ground in 2001.

Just like "Mormon magic underwear" is not often discussed outside of Mormon circles, some aspects are rarely discussed outside of inner circles.

Discussions about beliefs in Armageddon get very weird very quick, from characters like former Fox News Tucker Carlson to billionaire Peter Theil.

If you're looking for a definitive story, you ain't going to find it. It quickly devolves into hundreds of rabbit holes.

For every firebrand yelling into a microphone, there are many who will only discuss among other well-vetted conservatives.

This is my rather lacking explanation of it. Some Christian want the antiChrist to appear. The antiChrist heralds Jesus' second coming.

Dog whistles:
  • second coming
  • Armageddon
  • antiChrist
  • dome of the rock (the site of the1st and 2nd Jewish Temples)
  • "Lands of David
  • Christian Zionist
  • premillennial dispensationalism"
  • red heifer
  • and many others
While it's no more, I'd guess 10% of Americans who are evangelical, with the same percentage of US pulpits: a strong belief that Israel is central bringing Armageddon, and Jesus' second coming.

The problem is these Christians Zionist are often considered "model citizens", are well-educated, well-spoken, and bland ... except when discussing the rapture.

For you own sanity, I'd suggest just acknowledging these people exist, like arsonist are attracted to fire-fighting, and leave it at that.

The fear is Trump, as God, may decide to go nuclear. Let's all hope the military has sufficient break-wires to stop a single individual from going nuclear.

Looks like Trump's plan to negotiate with the next guy is toast:

JNS: Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Wednesday, “Any leader appointed by the Iranian terror regime to continue the plan for Israel’s destruction, to threaten the U.S. and the free world and the countries of the region, and to oppress the Iranian nation, will be an unequivocal target for elimination.” “It doesn’t matter what his name is or the place where he hides,” “The Prime Minister [Netanyahu] and I instructed the IDF to prepare and act using all means to carry out the mission as an integral part of the objectives of ‘Operation Lion’s Roar.’ ”

Welcome to the Treaty of Versaille, the sequel.

[Parody]

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz later backtracked:

"OK. we went too far. We're OK with new leader oppressing the Iranian nation.

Also you can threaten the U.S. and the free world, but not Israel.

And no nukes. That's our thing.

Remember we got Old Testament on the last guys.

My Grandson is due to depart to Europe and the Mediterranean in two weeks on a college trip. They are supposed to transit through the Middle East. To say I am worried is an understatement. I don't believe Trumps stupidity will over by then? The risk of terrorism is triggering anxiety. I have been trying to not think about this.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

US submarine torpedoes Iranian warship in Indian Ocean: RNZ

A US submarine sank an Iranian warship in the Indian Ocean, US Defence War Secretary Pete Hegseth said, touting the strike as evidence of America's global reach in its war on Iran.

"An American submarine sunk an Iranian warship that thought it was safe in international waters. Instead, it was sunk by a torpedo," Hegseth told a news conference.

... 148 other sailors were missing...

Hegseth called the attack "quiet death," while top US officer General Dan Caine said it was the first US submarine to sink an enemy ship since World War II.

The Pentagon says one of the main aims of the US-Israeli war against Iran, launched Saturday, is to wipe out the country's navy.

Caine said the United States has destroyed more than 20 Iranian navy vessels, and has "effectively neutralized, at this point in time, Iran's major naval presence in theater."

AlterNet - Trump breaks the law again ...

March 04, 2026

Operation Epstein Fury - with a bonus to help Bibi get re-elected so he doesn’t have to face charges for his criminal behavior - is rolling on as Donald Trump ignores the constitutional requirement that only Congress can declare war.

He’s also violating the War Powers Resolution of 1973 that dictates the president, if he reacts to an actual attack on America like Pearl Harbor, must notify Congress within 48 hours and have authorization within 60 days. In this case there was no actual or even imminent attack against America. ...

It compounds his constant ignoring of constitutional limits on presidential power ranging from gutting federal agencies without authorization to having ICE routinely ignore court orders, flagrantly violate the Fourth Amendment, and daily lie to the American people. ...

There was no attack on America, as required by the War Powers Resolution. There wasn’t even a serious possibility of an attack on America.

Madison and the Founders of his generation had it right: this is a crime by Trump and Hegseth against our Constitution and our laws and requires a strong congressional response such as impeachment.

All those "Patriots" that claim to love the country, flag and consitution are just idiots in reality. And Trump's oath to protect the constitution was just another lie.

But we know that.

Iraq suffered 20 years of civil strife and chaos. Syria endured a similar period with Al-Qaeda. It looks like America wants to start a similar process in Iran. With Kash Patel firing Iran specialists it's pretty obvious Trump's planning for this war has been minimal or non-existent.

Of the statements made by Trump in recent weeks this scares me the most. Spain told the US that they cannot use Spains military establishments and bases for the operations against Iran, Trumps response was to say the US can use the Spanish bases if they want and nobody can stop them. The implications is that the US President and the US military will not respect the sovereignty of other nations. That should alarm all governments.
