Somebody needs to rein in Trump's Reign Of Terror before more bombs rain on Iran

As a starting point, that "Somebody" should be the Vice President, leading at least half of the Cabinet, to invoke the 25th Amendment, to have Trump removed from office.

Any competent qualified medical person should be able to support that action, and also block any attempt from Trump to counter-claim and convince Congress that he is fit for office, which he arguably is not.

Trouble is, those who should be getting on with this, have spines of foam.

Problem is the Vice President and much of the cabinet are all the same.
J.D Vance is not up for ruining Peter Thiels 'move fast and break things' dictator project.

They seek to inherit Trumps MAGA when he goes, so dog whistle to them as much as Trump does.
The rest are busy using Trumps favor to steal as much $$$ as possible.

Then you have Trump's family, children and Kushner who just see $$$ in encouraging him.

Many more need to get Epstein off the news cycle least anyone suggest looking into the financial links.

Susie Wiles has private concerns that everyone keeps encouraging Trump with misinformation.

Unverified reports that the US and Iran are (for real) in talks for a 45-day ceasefire.

It would be nice.
Conditions USA requires have been unacceptable in the past, we shall see.
Iran giving free passage through strait for nothing when it sees leverage may be hard for them.

For Trumplicans.
I suspect it's just for share market opening to encourage buy the dip.
Speculators on oil to take profit pushing price down, least they fall off a cliff if peace declared.
USA has been playing this 'over soon', 'insider rug-pull' for a while with markets.

Both sides do need some time to reorganize and rearm, that's different though.
Anyway, stranger things.

Let's look elsewhere for success rate: Israel Gaza for a decade

  • Must be a declared ceasefire / truce
  • Any armed fire (even isolated) = failure

7 ceasefires
7 failures

2023 truce: violations within minutes
2025 ceasefire: broken before completion

I expect as much success between Iran and US.

There's one thing I do agree with Trump on. and I'm sure everyone worldwide will agree. Instead of naming the Strait of Hormuz on an ancient diety, it should be renamed the Strait of Trump

Someone should take his phone off him. No more unhinged tweets, that woukd take some heat out of the situation.

Deadlines and 'will be over soon' Trump announcements seem to be just to jerk the markets for rug-pulls not serious.

Can't see IRGC intimidated by TACOs.
There are indications Trump is going to announce a further extension already.

""
As Anthony Zurcher just reported, Donald Trump has set a number of "deadlines" for Iran in recent weeks - before then shifting them. Here's a recap:

Deadline 1: On 21 March, Trump said he would "hit and obliterate" power plants, "starting with the biggest ones first", if Iran didn't reopen the waterway within 48 hours

Deadline 2: Two days later, he said there had been "very good and productive conversations" between the countries and postponed strikes against energy infrastructure for five days

Deadline 3: On 27 March, Trump said he would postpone attacking energy plants for 10 days, "as per [an] Iranian government request", bringing the deadline to 6 April

48-hour warning: On Friday, with the 6 April deadline looming, he warned that Iran had "48 hours" before he unleashed "all hell"

Latest threat: In a Sunday post peppered with expletives, Trump reiterated this threat, saying that "Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day" - in a later post he said "Tuesday, 8:00 P.M. Eastern Time!"

If I was Iran I’d never give up control of the strait again. I can’t see them giving up the tolls plus they have the reason of using the money to fix the damages.

MAGA love the vile language and criminality.

Not too long ago the Iranian Theocracy murdered possibly 10's thousands of its own people.
Maimed, imprisoned, probably many more.
This was not a first time for IRGC and paramilitary wings of the Theocracy.
On top of regular daily terror of imprisonment, torture and executions from kangaroo courts.

Worked against peace in many other places as well seeing power in chaos.
Helping Assad with his terror against his people, terror against Ukraine, etc.

Meanwhile in America.
Trump, Vance(Peter Thiel Sockpuppet), Hegseth, Cabinet, Lyndsay Graham,
the vast majority of GOP encouraging the vile monster in Whitehouse or doing nothing.

They have managed to make the brutal Iranian Theocracy look more civilized than America!
Sympathy is shamed standing by either, but the brutal Theocracy is winning it.

If you were really looking for AntiChrist Mr Thiel?

It still isn't time for after-eight mints in Washington...

Iranians form human chains at bridges and power plants

I would hope that every country stops attempting to make deals with this US administration. The so called deals are not worth the toilet paper they are written on.

The fundamental problem is that Trump only understands a zero sum game, and every deal he has to think he is the winner. He will gaily tear up any agreement he makes if it no longer fits his needs. He has also learned that you will eventually succeed if you keep doubling down.

Essentially stop giving Trump the oxygen of the attention he craves.

The world needs to wait him out unless congress actually does something. Hopefully November will switch the tables. We are already staring down a world-wide recession because of this war, why would any deals with this madman make anything better?

I kind of hope Iran calls his bluff. Not really, because I don't really want to see more people getting hurt and killed over this, but I would certainly get some satisfaction from seeing Trump publicly made the fool he so clearly is.

It says it all in the headline, "Donald Trump agrees to two-week ceasefire in Iran hours before deadline"

He agrees. No word from the other side.

"US President Donald Trump has agreed to suspend bombing and attacks on Iran for two weeks, subject to the Strait of Hormuz opening"

Ah... So he wants to suspend bombing, subject to the strait being open, the same strait that was open until he started the bombing.

The MAGA logic is incredible. The best logic.
