Bolton is a reactionary Trump apologist who warmed a seat in the UN for a year. I'm not surprised a publication like The Telegraph would give him oxygen, but it doesn't add to the credibility of either.

I hope the copy and paste doesn't violate the FUG or any copyright laws since it is paywalled content.

When you criticise the author (and the publisher) rather than the arguments you rather prove his point.

Who is criticising? I'm just stating a couple of facts. Other facts glossed over by Bolton: Only three weeks into his presidency, Trump has the lowest approval ratings ever. There are mass demonstrations all over America against him. He has repeatedly been caught out telling blatant lies. He makes up so-called 'facts'. The American intelligence services are so concerned about his cavalier attitude towards security, that they have started withholding crucial information from him. Several government departments, along with many White House staff, are in a virtual state of rebellion. What is happening under Trump is not comparable to what has happened under other presidents. Bolton himself is a very minor figure of the right with little real weight or influence, who has supported Trump from the beginning.

Geektastic:

To listen to some of Donald Trump’s critics today, in America or abroad, you might conclude the West was facing another existential threat.

Rikkitic: Trump has the lowest approval ratings ever.

I see this being propounded a lot and it does make me smirk a little as this is pollster information from the very same folk who consistently listed Trump as being behind in the lead-up to the elections. I'd suggest treating the numbers around this particular point with caution, if not with cynicism.

Trump ...., and most assuredly doesn’t care what America’s mainstream media say.

Well I'd disagree with that assertion for a start!  This is an "alternative fact" at best.

As in:  "The lunatic is running the asylum and he has the nuclear codes." ?

His approval rating doesn't really matter now, his approval rating in the last 6 months of his presidency that matters more.

Hopefully he is already in the last 6 months of his presidency.  wink
