As long as that someone is working for the Don, he's untouchable. Yes, half wants him out, but the other half is completely with/for him.

The US public aren't seeing it as a game of "halves" any more.

Assassination would be a mistake.
Forgetting morality of doing such a thing, it's counter-productive as the alt:right fascists surrounding Trump would capitalise on such an event (and the "sympathy vote") to strengthen their cause.

Better IMO to enjoy watching Trump's drawn-out political suicide.

His increasingly intense (and rambling) attacks on the media suggest to me he's preempting imminent release of something particularly damning.

Trump might look dumb in front of the media but I assure you someone who destroyed Hillary using all kinds of unorthodox Russian-style gambits have the Senate covered. ...

The "someone" may not have been Donald Trump ...

True - the words may have come out of his mouth, but I doubt that the ideas/strategy came out of his head.

I never followed Trump with much interest before his political moves.  Perhaps he was once cunning and smart?  He isn't now.

Some media called Enemy of the American people.

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/02/17/business/trump-calls-the-news-media-the-enemy-of-the-people.html?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=first-column-region®ion=top-news&WT.nav=top-news

Trump tweeted
The FAKE NEWS media (failing @nytimes, @NBCNews, @ABC, @CBS, @CNN) is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People!

Yeah, knew he wasn't going to like the press coverage spin on the press conference.

This is what every tyrant in history who ever wanted to overthrow a democratic government has done. First you undermine trust in the opposition and media voices that try to hold you to account. After you have taken away their credibility, you can ban them without anyone protesting much. I don't know if this is what Trump is up to. But so far he seems to be following the playbook pretty closely.

The thing is that what he is saying does ring true for many. The longer he is in power, and more he repeats things, people are just going to hear it more. For example the whole fake news stuff (or the now Very Fake News) is quite true to an extent, in todays fastpaced news world, with all the click bait. Many of the clickbait headings are fake news, and when you click into them you feel like you have been misled. NZ media is the same. The media are their own worst enermy. Maybe Trumpo is on a crusade to stop clickbait?

Trumpo is on a crusade for more money and more publicity, as he has been all of his life.

He is blinded by his own inflated ego.

He is quite possibly a "useful fool" (polezniye duraki) being manipulated by Russia - with or without his knowledge.

Several people have shown you that that is factually wrong. Please stop spreading that lie.

Of course it "rings true" for many.  Trump clearly identified that he had a core support of people who'd still vote for him if he was to shoot someone dead in the street.

If there's been a mistake made in the Trump/Bannon quarter, it was probably underestimating the reaction from "liberals". They aren't all "snowflakes".

Trump might look dumb in front of the media but I assure you someone who destroyed Hillary using all kinds of unorthodox Russian-style gambits have the Senate covered. If he were smart he'd start with planting moles in the CIA, FBI, ... everything the internet and the social media has thrown at him has only made him stronger ... he ain't going anywhere fast

You give him far too much credit. He won as Brexit won, not by his skill or virtues. , but by public sentiment, and in this case they were wrong.

His attitude, his ego, has made him weaker. He reacts, via his ego, and not via statesmanship.

Who loves him? Look globally. If there was a US election tomorrow, who wins?

There is no election tomorrow, so democracy wins, but democracy doesn't means its 4 years either.

'He is actually, but cunning and smart in business, does not cut in in the real world, as in POTUS

Edit" IN fact cunning and smart is ideal for the business world, but in politics you need to be

1. Interested in the people.

2. Ego and wealth was my last life

I feel JK had those, he had no real need. Problem with DT is his ego has a real need. Short term and narrow memory doesnt really help him

Yeah, all the media do is tell lies. I hate that too. They need to call me, I like them, I really do. Its fantastic. Me, and them, and Vlad can work together, it will be great, it will be bigly for all us.

Clickbait is a bit above him, he would probily think your talking carp or bass.

But he is like bad ads. We hate them, BUT we know them extremely well. Maybe Marketing 201
