Clickbait is a bit above him, he would probily think your talking carp or bass.

But he is like bad ads. We hate them, BUT we know them extremely well. Maybe Marketing 201

It's way beyond Marketing 201:

OTOH, I expect that Trump's opposition / Democrats use the same methods.

Welcome to the "post truth" world.

Clickbait is a way of making money. So smart! The American dream. Give people fake news! And make them pay for it! Fantastic!

There is nothing new about this, just a different form. Supermarket tabloids have been making money in America from fake news for many years, since at least before the War. Where do you think all those stories about alien abductions and Elvis come from? It is as much part of the American gestalt as Coca-Cola and driving your Chevy to the levee.

Just wow. Really scary stuff.

“I genuinely believe that if Trump wins and gets the nuclear codes there is an excellent possibility it will lead to the end of civilization.”

And thanks for the link. This is important.

You often make comments like this. I think it is time to put up or shut up. Please cite the list of reactions you consider 'over'. Then explain what, in your opinion, makes these excessive.

I would like to know from MikeB4 and any who agree with him if he also thinks George Takei is 'overreacting'.

Errrrr the one I quoted "end of civilisation" over reaction. Speaks for itself as an over reaction. The "end of the world" Sayers have been around for centuries.

Really if you think every utterance could be seen as an over reaction is an over reaction.

I'm still waiting for the list you mentioned (see above). The 'end of civilisation' remark is not from me, but from the person who wrote Trump's Art of the Deal and who spent 18 months virtually living with the man (see the article). If he thinks letting Trump have presidential power poses a risk to civilisation, I am inclined to take him seriously. And he is not the only one, of course. So explain why this is an 'overreaction'.
