Just out of curiosity, how much benefit has Britain had from North Sea (Scottish) oil since the 1960s? I would think that the Scots might have a fairly substantial balance on their side of the ledger.
Plesse igmore amd axxept applogies in adbance fir anu typos

Boris will just say no.
The Scots will keep asking for referendums until they get a result they like. They may change their tune if someone tells them what they want to happen will cost.
Well it's a bit like Brexit itself, there's no consensus on what the cost will be.
This meme is circulating at the moment. I do not vouch for the accuracy of it as a true Thatcher quote, so treat it as possible "fake news":

That said, the more Scotland is told that they have to do what Boris says, the more they'll be determined, and the greater chance that if they do have a referendum, they'll vote to leave.
GV27: ... They may change their tune if someone tells them what they want to happen will cost.
That approach didn't work for Brexit.
Brexit will be expensive, with a huge financial and social cost, yet to be determined.

What will win out - the Scot's notorious dislike for paying for things or their hatred of being told what to do by the English? 😅

We have to remember the circumstances of the last referendum. At the time the choice was for Scotland to stay in a UK which was a EU member.
Now that England doesn't want to be EU member and Scotland does I think a fresh vote is entirely called for.
I think after the last vote it was said that Scotland will stay, but if something fundamental changes they have a mandate to vote again. Leaving the EU is seen as a fundamental change for Scotland. Especially since the stay campaign leaned heavily on the benefits of remaining part of the UK and by extension the EU.

At least they will have a better health system than NZ's fast failing one, after Boris pumps billions into it.

Yeah right. Boris reckons privatisation of the NHS is the answer and Trump will demand it as part of a trade deal.
On the up side, Brexit is not going to happen any time soon - Boris's new Brexit bill allows Brexit to be delayed till December 2020.
By that time Trump may be in jail, in retirement or re-elected. We'll see about that.

Boris is pumping billions of pounds into the NHS.
It seems I have quoted a post which in turn misquoted a poster. How do I go about fixing that?

No he isn't but he said he would, do you believe him? I mean come on, he's never ever made anything up before.....
Cos every election promised will be honoured (yeah right) .

It's one of two promises he can and will keep (the other being the B word) mainly because both issues come under such close scrutiny. Not so sure he can deliver on others though.
IMO pouring money into the NHS is probably not going to make much difference to outcomes. It needs a complete overhaul as it's hugely inefficient.
