But. But. Earlier this week Trump said JD was in the air on the way to the negotiations.

Was he lying?

He never lies. He's just miles ahead of the truth, and that unreliable b!tch often changes her mind. ๐Ÿ˜

I posted some of my thoughts about Trump, MAGA and Republicans in the Trump thread.

He confabulates.

He confabulates, bullshits (just making stuff up without caring whether it's true or not) and he lies.

You forgot fantasising. Like imagining you have muscles, or healing powers, or a relationship with Jesus.

 the mutual blockades remain.

I'm pretty sure that won't happen, if only because the logistics of that are for the USN horrifying.

The fleets exist anyway so they have to be run anyway. The cost is the economic fall out and how it affects world wide relations.

Given Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq the US has deep pockets for military industrial complex.

The Korean War is still not technically over.

Given the choice between admitting defeat in a forever war of his own choice or bankrupting the US, do you actually think that he would care about the finance? He is the King of Debt

Trump cannot fail, he can only be failed.

Two IDF soldiers jailed for 30 days after recording themselves smashing a Lebanese Christian statue of the crucifixion of Jesus. The acts were condemned by many American commentators.

After wide reporting the statue was initially replaced by IDF with a random cross that looked like it was stolen from somewhere else.

Numerous pictures exist of IDF soldiers damaging religious symbols and places of worship in Gaza and now the country of Lebanon. There are no other known reprimands, demotions or punishments. The American government has completely failed to condemn or halt any of those acts.

The NY Times - The Iran war has cost $25 billion so far, according to the Pentagon.

29 April 2026

[Jay Hurst, the Pentagon comptroller] said that figure is mostly representative of the tens of thousands of bombs and missiles used in the conflict.

It was the first time the Defense Department has publicly provided a cost estimate for the war.

The war has consumed a large percentage of the Pentagon’s longest-range conventional munitions, such as air-launched stealth cruise missiles and ground-launched Precision Strike Missiles.

Trump is the King of Debt. ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

Still not clear why this war is happening. Unless it's one of these:

  1. Distract from Epstein files
  2. Takeover of oil from another nation, as done with Venezuela

In any case, Trump had already declared all done, back in June 2025:

UAE seems to be anticipating problems:

"UAE urges citizens to leave Iran, Lebanon and Iraq. The United Arab Emirates has banned its citizens from travelling to Iran, Lebanon and Iraq. The announcement, which came from the countryโ€™s Foreign Ministry today, urged Emiratis who live or are currently visiting those countries to leave immediately and return home, citing regional developments."

Good precautions; Netanyahu is itching to resume full scale bombing and Trump can't be trusted to longer than 5 seconds at a time. Today it's "I don't care if it lasts for months" but tomorrow he might find a yes-man to give him the nuclear codes (as it is claimed that, possibly falsely but with Trump who really knows? that Dan Caine refused to do).

Trump loses the war and wants help?

Why should we pay the price for his stupidity? We should be looking at doing things differently.

The Stuff article has a poll. Was 85/15 against when I looked at lunch. Pretty rare for us to be that united on anything, as a country.

“America first!“ ...and then there's a long gap before anything else happens, right?

And then there's the saying: "He who lies three times is not believed." I think we're already at almost four times. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

The Washington Post - Poll: Trump’s Iran war reaches Iraq- and Vietnam-era disapproval levels

(01 May 2026)

A Post-ABC-Ipsos poll shows most Americans call the military action a mistake, even as Republicans remain strongly supportive.

The poll found the Iran war is as unpopular as the Iraq and Vietnam wars.

The numbers: A Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll found that 61% of Americans believe it was a mistake to use military force against Iran.

Comparison: It wasn’t until three years into the Iraq War that Americans reached a similar level of disapproval (59%).

And: Gallup found that 61% of Americans disapproved of the Vietnam War in 1971, after more than 50,000 U.S. troops died over years of fighting.
