Ivanka Trump:
I didn't expect this viciousness
Has she been asleep for the entirety of her father's political career - where he's been plumbing new depths in insults, lies, maliciousness?
Trump’s Cabinet, With a Prod, Extols the ‘Blessing’ of Serving Him
Watch this "cabinet meeting" if you dare - but keep a sick bag handy ...
NY Times - WASHINGTON - One by one, they praised President Trump, taking turns complimenting his integrity, his message, his strength, his policies. Their leader sat smiling, nodding his approval.
- “The greatest privilege of my life is to serve as vice president to the president who’s keeping his word to the American people,” Mike Pence said, starting things off.
- “I am privileged to be here - deeply honored - and I want to thank you for your commitment to the American workers,” said Alexander Acosta, the secretary of labor.
- Sonny Perdue, the agriculture secretary, had just returned from Mississippi and had a message to deliver. “They love you there,” he offered, grinning across the antique table at Mr. Trump.
- Reince Priebus, the chief of staff whose job insecurity has been the subject of endless speculation, outdid them all, telling the president - and the assembled news cameras - “We thank you for the opportunity and the blessing to serve your agenda.”
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Fred99:
What's not happening is a shift in polling in the court of public opinion, the Gallup approval poll is a pretty good guide, conducted daily with large enough sample for a +/- 3 point MOE.
It's been sitting on ~40% since March.
While other polling suggests that individual Trump acts of stupidity aren't popular (less popular with Democrats than Republicans - though not necessarily supported by Republicans) - it has no significant impact on Trump's popularity whatsoever. Trump supporters appear to not care what he does or says.
Trump's been in constant campaign mode. The Democrats don't really have a leader - and Trump is always on the front page.
I think the problem is that the Republicans have built a complete propaganda echo chamber, where anything that goes against the saying of the leader (Trump) is seen as fake news and the "MSM" ("Mainstream media") is considered as just spouting the "propaganda" of the "deep state".
In a society like that the actual fact and truths are dying.
As to his popularity. Its at 36% now, and it would not surprise me if it continues down.

Sounds like what Kim Jong-un expects from his cronies in terms of praise and loyalty.
Trump blocked VoteVets.org on Twitter. He won't talk to anyone who is not openly supporting him. He decided to postpone his visit to the UK until the PM can guarantee he won't see protests.
Basically Trump would be a perfect dictator for Russia, Turkey, Egypt or North Korea. He doesn't believe in constructive dialog. His skin is too thin.
He was never fit to be President. The GOP is so full of self-interest that in a Faustian deal they sold their souls to the Devil just to capture power.
I've never seen an America so divided and so full of hate between people who should be on the same side of justice and equality. Dumb all around.

I saw that an civil liberties group is suing Trump over this, on the grounds that it is unconstitutional to deny your opponents a voice.

Hopefully that will be a very long postponement.
Remember the result of this UK petition in February 2017:
Note that this petition was closed early - the number of signatures was rising rapidly when it was closed down.

Shooting at the Republican GOP baseball team practice, one of the victims (in critical condition) is the GOP House Whip.
Indications would make it appear to be an adamant anti-Trump lone gunman.
I believe something like this will actually result in a swell of Republican and Trump support.
gzt: Homeless dude with a concealed carry permit for a rifle and a history of domestic violence. America #### yeah.
What I'm reading has him as a small business owner.

Wonder if he will be so keen on opposing gun control any longer??
