I'm seriously wondering who drives dents into the bodywork with the linear, licked design and thinks it's great.

I could drive this thing to the garage after a hunting trip in the forest - I already have to pull Mercedes-Daimler SUVs (all, except the G model with off-road equipment for ~€100,000) out of a wet meadow with the old Russian Lada Niva (~€10,000), sometimes twice in a row.

kingdragonfly: Here’s What Tesla Recommends For Cleaning Your Cybertruck!

It‘s not all true what he states in this video. There was a stainless steel Porsche 911 Targa already in 1975 and 911S in 1967. 😁

I don't understand how anyone still admires in Elon after the last few years.

I'm a geek, a gamer, a dad, a Quic user, and an IT Professional. I have a full rack home lab, size 15 feet, an epic beard and Asperger's. I'm a bit of a Cypherpunk, who believes information wants to be free and the Net interprets censorship as damage and routes around it. You're after venture capital for your new venture.
You don't upset Elon, Peter Thiel and friends do you.

I expect you won't get anywhere with incubators and angel investors here too unless...
You know how to talk reverntly about icons of progress.

There is reflected glory, let me bask in the light of your magnificense.
Good old popularism amplified by unsocial media.

A broad swathe of various social media icons making money off patronage boosting Elon Musk as it pays.

Elon Musk with Alex Jones, Andrew Tate, Vivek Ramaswamy, pretty much says it.
Peter Thiel backed Vivek and Elon Musk seems to have noted.

Martial arts expert and movie star Bruce Lee popularized the quote ‘Be water, my friend’. Lee died at the age of 32 years, under mysterious circumstances. Some have proposed it was indirectly caused by hyponatraemia: drinking too much water too quickly.

Musk got too rich too fast. This is usually a recipe for disaster. Just asked the many lottery winners who wound up in worse shape financially and mentally in the long run.

The world is certainly a worse place, because of US billionaires.

The U.S. may have the highest nominal tax rate, but it is not the highest effective tax rate. The effective tax rate takes into consideration deductions and exemptions.

There are just way too many deductions and exemptions.

Has Elon never listened to the lyrics of 1990's "American Idiot"? It's always been anti-Republican, specifically Bush. Elon: Just check out the two word title.

Musk implies supporting Trump is somehow rebellious. I guess he got rebellious mixed up with treasonous.

Business Insider: Elon Musk is beefing with Green Day for slamming MAGA in their latest rendition of 'American Idiot'

The punk-rock band Green Day switched up the lyrics of its hit song "American Idiot" in a Sunday performance to trash former President Donald Trump.

It didn't take long for Elon Musk to voice his displeasure that the band, by his estimation, had changed for the worse.

As his band performed a set at Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, Green Day's lead singer, Billie Joe Armstrong, altered the line "I'm not a part of a redneck agenda" to instead sing "I'm not a part of the MAGA agenda."

NBC News: Elon Musk criticized by civil rights groups over claim that diversity efforts make flying less safe

Tech billionaire Elon Musk drew a swift rebuke from two of the nation’s best known civil rights organizations Wednesday, after he criticized efforts by United Airlines and Boeing to hire nonwhite pilots and factory workers.

The criticism came after Musk claimed in a series of posts on X that efforts to diversify workforces at those companies have made air travel less safe. He offered no evidence for the claim, and one of his replies directed attention to a post by someone else speculating about the IQ of Black airline employees.

Come on, Elon. That's another one of your half-baked flashes of inspiration before breakfast. You know better than that.

I rather suspect Elon was fully baked when he had that brainwave.

The title is "Tesla Optimus Bot Folds Laundry"

BUT everyone forgot to mention that it had a cable to a human puppet master sitting just out of view; no autonomy, not even cameras needed.

Yeah, not so much a robot, but an expensive puppet.

Musk only admitted to the farce when asked to explain the puppeteer's hand manipulator accidently in frame briefly.

Elon Musk is now demanding 25% voting rights in Tesla,
for his 13% shareholding or else he takes his ball away.
Thats rough equivalent of extra $80B of shares.

Having sold of so much of them to buy Twitter, and a few other things,
his voting rights have reduced greatly.

https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2024/jan/16/elon-musk-ai-share-tesla

Not sure if they just give him $80M stock options as a bonus,
or have to create special shares with extra voting rights.

Maybe the backers that joined Musk in buying Twitter and offering credit lines for operations are making demands on him?

I hope the board tells him to get wrecked. They don't need Elon to develop AI products. They'll have much smarter people than him doing the real work.
