Oh no, and it bristles me when I hear the Sallies talking about massively discounting home prices by 40% through shared equity schemes for parents in part time work when there's plenty of DINKYs who can't even get a foot in the door. Part of me thinks that would be unnessacary if we could ge State Housing back to decent levels.
But let's not use a big picture 'entitlement' argument to overlook the fact that house prices have risen by a multiple of 3x relative to incomes in the last fifteen years.
