Other than Trump and Netanyahu, nobody in a position to do so is dumb enough to try. The Arab royals are well aware that without the stability of not having WWIII, they're back to herding to camels in the desert. There's nothing in Iran worth risking that.

Yip, the US is now a net oil and gas exporter, so higher oil prices are actually a net positive on a country scale, although as you note higher prices become a transfer of funds from consumers to the Oil industry....

This is a HUGE change of global affairs since the last time the US was knee deep in middle eastern wars, higher oil prices used to be a significant danger to the US economy,

Its this relative independent that allows Trump to blow-tificate so much...

It definitely isn't a net positive on a country scale. The price of energy impacts the price of everything. High prices are only good for the oil industry. Almost every other industry is negatively impacted by an increase in energy prices.

High oil prices are a nett positive in an economy dependent on selling oil. That isn't the case in the US where the oil industry is a small part of the economy.

What Iran says and what Iran does are usually two different things. They have a history of making all sorts of public demonstrations (like firing missiles as performative theatre) while doing the opposite behind the scenes.

OPEC+ has been falling apart over the last few years. OPEC+ was trying to raise prices but a number of countries have quietly ignored their quotas and released more supply onto the market. The increase in quotas this year just reflects what was actually happening.

The big geopolitical beneficiary for higher oil prices is Russia. Increases in fuel prices drive their war machine in a significant way.

we don't know what's going on behind the scenes ... it may or may not turn out. let's see what happens in the next few days. to summarize,

Israel - war until Iran gives up their nuclear program

Trump - war is ended

Iran - war is not ended

Next - watch this space, it's probably something like "it's complicated"
